We visited on a Thursday night around 9:00 pm. There are lots of decent to good Ethiopian places in downtown Silver Spring but... most were closed. Was told they would be open until 2:00 am and that their kitchen would close at midnight, so this was a hugeplus for us Both the food and the service was pretty good, not amazing. Looks like they have live music on Fridays and maybethe weekend, too. All in all, it's definitely a solid place in a very convenient location. Read more

Gross food. Kitfo not flavored at all. Even the enjera tastes weird. asked for hot tea and got cold tea. Food and drinks took... forever to come even though it was just few tables occupied. Only got a beer and also an appetizer. The appetizer was so delicious, the meat was well seasoned. They were just really busy... and it seemed no one knew what they had in stock regarding the drinks, or food. Everyone was really nice, and I think if theywere not so busy the service would have been better. I want to go back because again the food was well seasoned hot, and superdelicious! One of the best Ethiopian places in greater DC area. The flavors are spot on and the portion size is generous. There are plenty... of options for vegetations as well. It gets pretty crowded on weekend evenings. There are live music performers and coffeeceremony on Sunday evenings. The staff are very welcoming. Lunch time gets a bit slow and food takes a while to be prepared. Read more
