Lemon Slice was everything I didnt know I needed. We had sandwiches (kitfo and awaze tibs, both on cibatta), home fries, a... coffee cake muffin and some very refreshing in-house made ginger and turmeric lemonade (sweet/unsweetened options). I was havinga rough morning and this lovely cafe + owner filled our stomachs with delicious food and lifted my spirits with fantasticconversation. Came to lemon slice cafe in the morning: ???? Breakfast Tacos were really great! Came with sausage, egg cheese and a semi-spicy... how sauce! Totally would have this again ???? We also had a breakfast croissant with turkey and egg. This was not so good!! Thesausage was so small compared to the rest of the sandwich!! Not very great and this deteriorated from the experience. Great place! I stopped here on a whim with my Dad and sister. We got the breakfast sandwiches and omelette, respectively.... Everyone working there was very welcoming and nice, and the food was so good! Would recommend trying the homemade hot sauces Read more
Nice little cafe for a quick breakfast or lunch. Their lemon cake is so good I recommend 100% it doesn?t taste too sweet or... lemony so that?s a plus for me. I got the turkey club sandwich. Read more
This cozy little spot has been home to a few of my fave spots in downtown Silver Spring, and Lemon Slice Café joins the club!... Great high quality, fresh food at good prices and kind, friendly service. There is nice variety of sandwiches, salads, and bakedgoods...with breakfast all day. I had the grilled wrap with tofu (get it spicy!), added on some fries (the seasoning surprisedme!), and of course couldn't resist the eponymous lemon slice (GREAT cake!!). I no longer live in SS and most of downtown isfull of chain restaurants, so I will be glad to add Lemon Slice Café to my shortlist of local businesses to frequent when I'mback.???? Read more
What a wonderful place!! Beth (the owner) was so friendly and welcoming, the food & drinks (along with their signature homemade... sauces) were insanely delicious, and everything was very well priced. We went in for breakfast but ended up also getting somebaked goods because everything looked and smelled so delicious! I strongly recommend coming here, we'll definitely be comingback again ???? UPDATE: Lemon Slice now offers dedicated vegan options marked by a green ?V? on the menu! Even the sauces are vegan friendly,... like the pesto and lemon dressing. I loved my tofu scramble wrap with mushrooms. And the tofu lunch wrap with cabbage wasoutstanding. The quality of the food is evident, from homemade sauces to crisp veggies. This place is a little gem in downtown SS. Really great tasting sandwiches and soups. Perfect for a quick lunch and very... affordable. The owner is awesome too and her passion for cooking really comes through in the details of the food. Highlyrecommend. Read more
