Filippo's is the BEST of the BEST! We go every Sunday for Redskins/Commanders games! The establishment is always clean and... beautiful. The owner and his staff are FIRST CLASS. You still get the "old school" service that you can't find around hereanymore! I highly recommend the Italian Cold Cut and the Roast Beef. They also have some incredible Italian treats andbeverages. Wow, that was awful. I went once before, it was great. The owner greeted us, this sandwiches, take away & bread was good. This... time the sandwich maker & cashier were rude, made 5 orders ahead of use from walk ins, then at cash out when it came to over$100 we asked for clarification, she was indignant, rude and we'll, awful. What happened? Why were the staff so awful? It wasshocking. I thought of I were just polite & patient enough they would be nicer but nope. Read more

My little gaggle of girls and I were passing through. They moved all their tables together for us, and they were kind and... accommodating. The food, though, was to die for. Best subs I've ever had, hands down. I prefer to buy food that I can't or don'twant to make myself... This is exactly that. Sounds a little strange, granted, but I don't even want to attempt making theirsandwiches. SO GOOD. High quality ingredients, assembled perfectly. There?s a reason it?s rated #1 in the area, the Italians and roast beef are just unreal. Usually go for the cold cuts but tried... a hot steak n cheese and it was better than most I?ve had. Would have posted more pictures but shared/demolished the othersandwich before stopping to flick a pic. They have plenty more than just sandwiches also, but they?re definitely the draw. Read more

Great spot to pick up all your pre-made and ready to cook Italian meals. Awesome meaty subs for takeout. We transported ours... to Saints Row Brewing in Rockville to consume with a couple of craft brews. And the hand-piped fresh cannoli is the best! Read more
