One of the best dining experiences I?ve had in LA. Almost fearful to promote this spot because it?s such a cute hidden gem! I... want to eat here everyday and live here even more so. Super lovely patio seating for a weekend morning, and smells like the bestbacon ever when you walk in. The food was perfect, coffee was just right, and the employees were so smiley andcompassionate. I even began an attempt at creating a spot in my backyard called ?Mary?s Place? but unfortunately it will hardlycompare. Read more

Absolute hidden gem and unique where it's located. We call this now "the secret place". Such a charm and take a little walk up... the road for a lovely stroll. Read more

This is a total hidden gem of such a cute neighborhood! I highly recommend stopping in. It is very "Whistle stop café/ Fried... green tomatoes" sorta vibe. All the antiques are for sale there. The sandwiches taste like love went into them. The parking canbe tricky but you can park a block down. The stream/ wash has a babbling brook sound and you can walk up the paths with ivycovered foot bridges on your way there. 100% love this place! Read more

Pro Tip: If you can carpool, do it. This place is nearly impossible when it comes to parking. People even double-park behind... other customers or the residents whom live there. This charming little eatery has been operating since 1922, though it'schanged ownership since the original. It's a single business tucked away into the woods where the rest of the neighborhood isresidential and the roads are narrow. I believe this used to be a resident in which the original owner converted the front houseinto a market and cafe, which is why it's so out of place. This place is quite a hidden gem at the base of the mountains. Ionly found it because of Yelpers (yeah, go Yelp community!) when I was looking for a spot close to my girlfriend that morning tomeet up for breakfast. Mary's Market is adorable. It's kind of all over the place in terms of decor- it's a combination ofkitschy, vintage-inspired, whimsical and totally eclectic. You feel welcome the moment you step into the cafe. The employeesare nice, helpful and knowledgable about the food and menu. The pictures speak for themselves. There are flowers upon flowerseverywhere, mini fairy gardens and homegrown herbs, fruits and veggies on the property. The food is pretty good but the savorystuff is a little too salty for me (I'm not big on sodium). You order right when you walk in and pay there. Drinks areself-serve, nothing fancy- either bottled drinks or you get a mug where you go to the coffee station and DIY. There is tableservice for the rest of your meal. There is outdoor seating both at the front entrance as well as the back of the restaurantbecause there are not that many tables inside. I hope to go again soon. It was a very pleasant first experience. I couldn'tstop taking photos. Read more

When we arrived we thought that this wouldn't be a great place but am so glad we stayed and ate. It's in a stunning area, very... cool and shaded. The place itself is very basic, almost a canteen type feel. But once you are inside, the friendliness of thestaff overwhelms you. They were lovely. You have to order food at the counter, but then they bring your order to you. Coffeecondiments are self serve, tables are covered in brown paper. All of this doesn't give you hope for a great breakfast. But thefood when it arrived was wonderful and fresh and delicious. It wasn't oversized or fried. It was beautiful fresh food cookedreally well. The Benedict was the best we have had in USA. And the poached eggs was great. Read more
