Usually I don't write reviews but this is the best food I've eaten since I've been in Shreveport. The food is well seasoned and... taste like a real home cooking. Food was good, but it was a little pricey. Forgot the silverware / plastic ware, no utensils to eat with. It's all take out... here, so no excuse for this. Went by around 1pm on a Thursday. Only one other person in parking lot, so not crowded. I hadthe "chef's special" which was braised ox tails (beef) over rice with side items sautéed cabbage (with a hint of cardamom) andhoneyed plantains. Plantains are like a starchy banana. Green they cook more like a potato, ripe / yellow they are a firmbanana you can cook with. I enjoyed the food. Cost $24. Read more
I have been here a few times up until the Goode Times Rolls festival the food was great. However afterwards every time I went... they didn?t have something like plantains and had to do substitutions which is fine sometimes I have no problem with that. Ialways get the wings plate with whatever else I may purchase for the day when I?m there however the last few times the wingsdidn?t taste the same but yesterday 08/03/2022 I received wing plates that were not fresh. I couldn?t eat it. Usually the grillis going but it wasn?t. I?m going to give the benefit of the doubt because the owners weren?t there but the food yesterday washorrible a complete waste of money on two plates that couldn?t be eaten. I really did like this place at first but due to thisissue I will not be going back. Also check your receipts because some of the menu item prices aren?t the same as you?re beingcharged it?s more I?ve checked my ticket more than once and have had that problem but it was too late as I was already gone.Nice place but food quality has been declining since I?ve started to go there.
