The staff is amazing, very friendly. That?s the only reason why I left a 2 star review. The food however, is not great. If you... are wanting good quality tasty Chinese food, go anywhere else. One of my favorite places to dine. Staff very friendly, service great and food is delicious. Go there often.
Realistically I cannot think of one honest thing to criticize this fine establishment over. I've been eating here for years now,... the food is wonderful, cooked fresh to order. Prices are more than affordable, with lunch getting you a soup, egg roll andentree for around ten dollars per person. The atmosphere is wonderful, staff incredibly friendly, and despite always beingpacked I've never had to wait to be seated. Hands down when Chinese is on the table the first thought is always Imperial Cathay.There are a lot of other good Chinese restaurants in Shreveport, but this place is the best. If that ever changes, I'll be sureto update this review, considering I so very rarely hand out five stars. A resistant has to truly be near-perfect to hold thatranking in my book. Don't ever change, Imperial Cathay! As far as recommendations go, the orange chicken and the combination lowmein are my personal favorites. With the chicken chowder as the soup. I moved away from Shreveport back in 2009. Back then, Imperial Cathay was the best Asian cuisine I'd ever had. And this is still... the case I'm happy to say. The food is every bit as delicious as I remember! It is still the gold standard against which Icompare all others. Read more
