A luscious latte and a warmed, blueberry cream-scone (crisp outside, tender inside) were exactly what was needed on a blustery... October morning. Read more

First of all, their coffee is amazing. And I am addicted to their fresh scones that they bake in house. And their barista's... are so sweet. This is my new comfort place to go to. Let's just say I'm having a bad week. I pulled up to their drive-throughwith tears running down my face, and they were so kind and thoughtful. In a city that can be so tough sometimes, Black Coffeeis a ray of sunshine and comfort that I don't mind driving out of my way to get to. Read more

BCNW owners utilize this space collaboratively to support COMMUNITY businesses, unlike the every-business-for-itself model. They... work with and support young folks, providing internships???????? I love the marketplace they have periodically - what acreative, no-waste use of their space???????? The coffee & beverages are delicious; I love the lavender drink that used to becalled the Rachel - hot OR iced! These good people continue to persevere, even in the face of all the hateful vandalism thatkeeps occuring. SUPPORT (don't hate on!) a small, POC-owned business - they're only enhancing the community! Excellent lattes and Americanos. They sell pastries from a local bakery, and they are delicious. One of the best things about it... is how they help young people of color gain experience working in a coffee shop. The other thing I love is their large indoorseating area, and now, during Covid, I especially appreciate their outdoor seating area. The outdoor seating is on the side ofthe building along Aurora Ave, but there is a fence separating you from the street. Read more

Absolute gem! Cannot believe I'd never been here before. Thanks to yelp for sharing this! Such a cool spot to grab a quick... cuppa. It's very spacious inside and there was a pop up shop selling tees and other clothes when we were there. The interiorand decor has a vibe that'll definitely catch your eye. We ordered the lavender white mocha and peppermint mocha as per thebarista's recommendation. Absolutely loved the lavender white mocha. It's such a unique flavor and wasn't overpowering at all.Must try. I was looking forward to try their roasted potato scone. But sadly they'd run out of those. Will definitely get itnext time! Update 02/2021- Black Coffee has SHOOK me once again with the BEST roasted cheese potato scone I have EVER had. 10/10 would... recommend. It reminded me of being back home in Louisiana. So good! Go get one. Trust me on this. Still hands down one of thebest cups of coffee in the Seattle area. On top of that, by eating here you are supporting a local and black owned business!Win-win-win! I drive out of my way for this place all the time. Read more
