The EDO Japan in Emerald Hills is excellent. If they hadnt been so busy I wouldve called them to tell them so, this last time I... was there. The service was attentive, friendly and engaged, professional yet warm. Ive been there several times and this hasbeen consistent. The food? So flavourful, always, the vegetables in my Teriyaki beef were cooked to the right doneness, thebroccoli especially. Just the right amount of sauce. The portion filled takeaway container couldnt have been filled more. Thisrestaurant in Emerald Hills in Sherwood Park is always busy, so obviously very popular ...so that speaks for itself. Its alwayssuper clean looking. The servers at the front counter interacts and coordinates with the cook staff in the back in a happy,friendly... actually FUN manner that makes waiting for your food a pleasure. Incredible that the only sauce they have for all of their noodle and rice dishes is teriyaki sauce. One sauce only! As a... result, all of their rice and noodles dishes are sweet. I don't want a sugar laced lunch or dinner. I'm so sick of teriyaki. Yuk! Read more

I have been a regular customer of edo for years, over the last months specifically this location the amount of vegetable mix is... pathetic. This is the amount of brocolli I recieved today on my beef yakisoba order. Especially charging 11 dollars for a bowlof noodles I would expect more than a shred of brocolli. (I always order extra mushrooms which a extra fee and it is nodifferent than what is usually added.) Sad. Read more

Was thoroughly disappointed with the food. Usually you have to ask for extra sauce as there is enough food and it can be dry. ... Well not tonight. I had soup instead of Teriyaki Noodle with shrimp and beef. There was so little food in the bowl, that thesauce drowned it. So soup. Not tasty neither, the beef was so over cooked, it was crispy. I had the best lunch here today with my daughter. So friendly and helpful here. Lunch was lovely , fresh, hot and delicious as... usual. Covid Protocols are A+ here so it was Very clean and safe. Very prompt cleaning tables after people leaving. Enjoyed themusic you had playing it was so nice. You always Thank us and say goodbye to us when we leave. Best Edo Ever! Read more

TLDR: Would never recommend this location again to anyone! Avoid unless you want unsanitary food and incompetence with what you... ordered for dietary needs. Full Detail: We ordered through Skip yesterday for dinner. It took about 45 minutes to receiveorder. Instructions for the order were clearly written out. Two out of the three items we received were incorrect. One personcould not eat their dinner due to never receiving cauliflower rice with their order. We contacted Skip but service with theagents were on the slow side so we tried to contact the location directly through the phone line as they were still open whilewaiting to hear back from a Skip agent (we were concerned the establishment would be closing soon to try and get our orderre-delivered to us correctly by the time it got to us). They never picked up their line after attempting to call three times butremained open. Eventually got a hold of a Skip representative who did refund us the two meals plus any additional charges so wecould re-place the order as we were unable to get a hold of Edo directly while trying to get a hold of an agent from Skip at thetime (this process took an additional 40 minutes after getting the order trying to deal with this place btw). When we went toput the order through again so we could receive the correct items, the app then told us "no longer accepting deliveries" - ourconcern for this possibly happening became true. So one person did not get to eat completely what they ordered while the otherperson who had part of their order messed up as well only ate the chicken. They ended up getting their food else where. Afterthe ordeal I had to re-heat my food in the microwave as it became very cold trying to deal with this headache. I found twostrands of hair in part of my meal that was not mine while stirring the food up after heating. I no longer trusted my own mealand found something else to eat. Edo is Edo it's the people that make a difference. I had the luck of arriving just before 30 high school kids on lunch break.... The staff here are phenomenal. They are polite, helpful and did a hell of a job babysitting these kids. The young lady behindthe counter (little caucasian girl with pink hair) was amazing! Great job guys Read more
