Met my co-workers for lunch at Chop and had a wonderful experience. We started off with a couple of drinks. The lemonade was... very tasty. We all order appetizers. The salt & pepper wings and onion rings were a big hit. My colleagues also really enjoyedthe crab cakes along with the chili garlic shrimp. A number of us ordered from the dinner menu, and our main courses did notdisappoint. The steak and shrimp were delicious. My top sirloin was cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. The sauteedgarlic shrimp were tasty, as were the seasonal vegetables and fully loaded baked potato. The sauteed mushrooms really topped offthe steak in my opinion, and there were a lot of them. We finished off our meal by splitting a number of the desserts that wereavailable. The pineapple upsidedown cake and the New York cheesecake with seasonal fruit (Saskatoon berries) was delightful. This was a first time for me visiting this Chop. We had a reservation and on entering we were immediately seated. Our server was... Josh. He did a great job and ensured that our orders were satisfactory. I was a tad disappointed they brought out my meal andfour minutes later, everyone elses (I expect a lot from high end restaurants hence one star reduction). I would have preferredthey brought out everyone's all together. My meal had cooled down a bit. Josh had asked if our event was a special day. Wehadn't even thought of mentioning this. Three of our party were celebrating birthdays, Thank you for asking Josh and you putthe proverbial icing on the cake. And thank you to the staff who signed the birthday cards, nice touch. Serving sizes for the price sucked. We kept getting passed over for service and ignored when trying to get ANY servers... attention. Quality. Quality of food and service is so important when we eat out and these people failed. Didn't bother to comeback even to fill our water glasses so we didn't even have drink for most of our dinner. $100 for 2 people really doesn't getmuch these days. After a very long day we decided to try this place for a well deserved steak... And we couldn't be more pleased and satisfied... with our choice. Service was great and prompt. The restaurant's decor is excuisite. The steak was delicious and the side dishes(mashed potatoes, veggies and mushrooms) were the perfect combination for a delicious meal. A juicy steak paired with anexcellent red wine was the perfect way to end our day. And just to top it off: dessert, Creme Brule and Cheesecake, made toperfection! If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a good meal this resaturant is the placeto visit. Read more
Decent restaurant connected to the Sandman Hotel in Sherwood Park in Edmonton. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Lots... of seating available. The menu is not huge but likely something to anyone. The prices are on the higher end, but the food wasgood. Overall likely would not make my way there unless I was staying at the hotel but while there it does the trick. Read more
My experience at this location is always great. The establishment is always clean, staff are always friendly and food is always... on point. Definitely a must if you like good steaks and fine dining.
