Apparently I’ve snoozed on the magic of dry-aged fish for way too long. This past weekend my friends and I had the most... incredible meal made possible by a small haul from the Joint Eatery: Chu Toro (plenty of fat and marbling) Buri (adultyellowtail) Kanpachi (amberjack) Ora King Salmon Scallops All dry-aged and absolutely scrumptious. Highly, highly recommend. Read more
This place was amazing. I was able to get a dry aged bento box curated by the restaurant Kawabe from here and it is some of the... best sushi I have ever had. The dry aging enhances the flavor of the fish and the flavor combinations were very thoughtful andtruly enhanced the experience. They also had a small retail shop and I was able to get some squid ink bread, which I am soexcited to try. Can’t wait to go back and try their coffee and other food. Read more
The fish is among the freshest and tastiest we've had! We love having a local place to purchase sushi/sashimi grade fish in... addition to the other fresh offerings. The dry aged process is unique to us and yields a delicious product. Oddly enough, thefish restaurant/market is just half of the storefront. A coffee bar is inside at a separate counter. I don't believe anything isroasted on site, however, they carry a variety of blends and single origin roasts from other vendors. The cappuccino I purchasedwas bold, yet smooth and creamy (thanks to the oatmilk). I was so impressed, I returned the next day for another cup. So good! Read more
Pretty good spot to grab coffee from. They have some really unique coffee. I got their Nitro Cold Brew which was average and my... wife got their cinnamon latte which she said was amazing. The Barista was good at her job but not to friendly. I don’t know ifit’s the Covid or what. Definitely want to come back and try it again. Read more
I just came across this amazing fish market/restaraunt that is relatively new and couldn't leave without posting something about... it. Sadly, I didnt think about taking any pictures when I started off with the oysters, but they were phenomenal! Freshlyshucked and delicous, it started me off with a small idea of the flavor this place can provide. I came with my girlfriend andher father because we were craving seafood and couldn't have come to a better place. If you are in the area and want clean andfresh seafood, this is probably the best option available! Walking in you see a display case of some of their produce whichincludes fresh wild caught fish, dry-aged fish, mussels, shellfish, and some cooks preparing meals right there behind thecases. Allow for a reasonable preparation time because.. IT WILL BE WORTH IT. I don't mind a little wait if it ensuresfreshness. I also have an appreciation for places that specialize in what they do because it shows they arent trying to pleaseeveryone, only the people who come for quality seafood. You'll see in their menus pretty much all the information you wouldneed before ordering, and their staff are always ready to help or explain anything else you're wondering. Apart from theiramazing produce (origins listed on menu,) you also have a choice of great drinks starting from fresh teas and coffees to greatquality sakes, wines, and beer. I would go for a Junmai Daiginjo for the cleanest pairing. I personally love sake withfish. Whether you come by early for coffee, after a workout for healthy nourishment, or with friends for a nice meal anddrinks, this place will leave you satisfied with what you spent. The prices are extremely just for what they provide, and thequality itself is enough for me to come back regularly. 5 stars easily. Read more
I came in here today to try some of that DRY AGED FISH. Last time, I got the black cod with potatoes and kale. Today's special... was grilled fish over salad, and my choice of dry aged fish was ora salmon, sea bass, and John Dory. Had this along with theBrown Sugar Iced Latte. Wow. Dry aged fish was great. A great fish taste that is rich and oily (in a good way). Not fishy atall. This seafood restaurant is on point. And the latte was great as well. I was just as equally pleased this time around. It'shard to believe that not too many restaurants offer Dry aged fish, as The Joint is one of few in the US. I have a feeling thatif this becomes popular, we will see more restaurants offering dry aged fish. I would highly recommend this place, especiallyif you are a seafood connoisseur. It's fresh, tasty, and well-executed seafood at its best done by a passionate owner and chef. You can tell how much he loves his craft. Another plus is that the ambience here is nice too, a great place to have coffee andhangout. Today, I shot a Youtube video of The Joint Eatery for my channel called Rockstar Eater, if you are interested inchecking out my live action experience. Read more
The Joint is a unique location that offers great coffee and a fantastic selection of top shelf local and imported seafood. The... staff is very knowledgeable will answer questions and prep your fish however you want. The coffee bar has a few great rotatingoptions that are great for lunch and decent quality coffee. It's a good idea to check their daily provisions list before goingas they often sell out of specific things. Parking is available on surrounding streets. Usually not too crowded but sometimesthere's a bit of a wait to get fish prepped but thankfully you can get a coffee while you wait! Read more
