Teriyaki chicken + California roll combo plate / teriyaki chicken, 6pc California roll, scoop of rice, sumi salad, oriental... salad - 5 ????! A solid lunch place with healthy meals, quick service, friendly staff and a nice big dining room. A few yearsago I lived in the area and SanSai was a go-to lunch spot often. I really enjoy the side salads they provide with their alwayswell priced lunch combos. The food isn't fancy but it is filling, tasty, and on the healthier side. They have a large menu withlots of options and there are a few locations in LA. They are worth checking out if you're in the area and want to grab a niceJapanese fast casual meal. Read more

Here on a Sunday at 11. They open at 11 according to the sign on the door but told me to get out until they open at 12! The... restaurant stunk of cleaning fluid. We went to the Subway next door instead. There is no bathroom in the mall so we asked if wecould use theirs. They refused us. What a nice, stinky, rude place. Read more

This Sherman oaks location is convenient and spacious nice staff. My complaint is simple, the food is inconsistent. I usually... order the chicken & California roll plate. The chicken is usually undercooked or old because it has a weird flavor while therolls are cut way smaller than their other locations. Their mandarin salad looks soggy and old, but it still tasted alright.Twice now I've gotten weird tasting chicken from here and I don't think I'll be ordering here again. We ate here 4 times and thequality has only declined. Their Santa Monica location is miles ahead when it comes to consistent quality. The only thing I'drecommend here is their stake meat it was actually really tasty and my son loved it too. Read more

I usually eat at the San Sai Pasadena and they always have fresh and tasty food. I visited the San Sai Sherman Oaks today and... the quality and taste were not great. The lettuce of the oriental salad was old and it had a bitter taste. The chicken was alsopretty dry. I don't think I'll return to this location. Read more

Oh no. This was the worst food I have had in my life. The woman at the counter was VERY nice and polite. She did not offer much... help with them menu though (when asked what is in the dumpling soup, her answer was "dumplings and soup") The place was cleanbut the food horrendous. I have had MREs that are better. My hunny ordered the dumpling soup. Lol, it was laughable. A bowl ofbrown liquid with 5 pieces of uncooked mushroom and about 7 dumplings. The dumplings tasted like soggy balls of mush. The brothbland and the mushrooms like they put them in hoping the broth would cook them. I had the Curry chicken. I think they justopened a can of gravy and poured it over yesterday's chicken. This is not a place I recommend. They also used a microwave toheat the food. I usually take my leftovers Togo with me. Today, I left it all behind and didn't even finish it. There is adonut shop next door. I went there to finish my meal. Lol It was delicious, helped me wash away the yuck and the woman behindthe counter hilarious. Read more
