My wife and I saw the reviews here, and figured what the heck? Drove from Phoenix AZ all the way CA. We must say we were... definitely not let down. The hospitality and service was amazing. The food was beyond excellent. The over all experience wasamazing. We are definitely going to go back. Nothing but good things to say. We loved it and are excited to make our next tripback. Yesterday (Sunday 09.18.2022) was my 3rd time coming here. Came for brunch w/ my mom and my brother?s dad-in-law, who?s... Guatemalan. We had eggs, platanos, frijolitos, queso fresco, a little bit of longaniza and steak, and an order of molletes.Steak was a little dry, but everything else was good. Guate coffee is probably some of the best in the world. Owner and staffare all very friendly. The server working our table was Daniel. Yesterday was my 2nd time meeting him. Just like the previous,he was attentive and professional. A true food service pro! Daniel has a refined and genuine style of service. There was alsolive marimba. Band started playing around 12:00-ish. Lastly, but not least, the art displayed at this restaurant is worthcoming out for ?- photographs and wood-based artwork. Excellent service, deliciuos and very authentic food

My mom has been wanting to go to this restaurant. I decide to take her for her birthday along with some family members. The food... at this restaurant was the lowest quality of food I have ever tasted. The server did not receive the proper training to do herjob. The margaritas tasted like juice, the server did know how to pour tap beer, and I offered to help her out, but she did notrespond back to me. After she made a few attempts to pour the beer, I finally received my beer it wasn't chilled, but I drankit. I ordered the salpicón plate, and the beef they used had a fishy/expired taste I didn't eat it. My uncle wanted his meatwell done and they served it to him medium rare. My dad's friend never received his order, and when we asked the server aboutthe order, she came back to tell us that they were out of the meat. My sister who is a chef did not eat the food she orderedbecause it was way overcooked, and asked to speak to the owner. When he finally came over to talk to us, he offered 10% off ourorder and, the next meal on him. We respectfully declined because we love to eat good quality food, we will not put ourselvesthrough that misery again. The owner should not have charged us for the food we did not eat. I really hope this business canwork on building a solid team that cares about the customer experience and the quality of their food. As of right now, thisbusiness feels like it's just taking money away from the Guatemalan community and from what I saw and read there is not anyeffort to make this change just excuses. Read more

If you have no taste buds or never had good food made with love jack and the box is better then this food was not eddible my... sons chicken nuggets tasted like fish grey on the inside and the owner calms it?s not his fault because they buy it from avendor he said ? all we do throw them in the fryer that?s it? which is even worse you can?t even do that right. Plating washorrible as well who ever is back there is just cashing a paycheck no love for job all the plates they served food was old andtasted of fish oil maybe using the same cutting boards and oil for the all the food the salsa had Vinegar to mask the taste ofit. Everything we wanted they were out of so safe to think our food was going to be fresh wrong terrible way to end my mother?sbirthday the bill was $181.30 owner gave us 10% off of food we didn?t even touch the plates of food and the restaurant wasempty and the food still took 40 to an hour to make it to the table probably trying to salvage the rotten food they had. I would rate this place 0 stars if I could, we went today with a party of 10 we made reservations 2 days ago, we get there and... they say they don?t even have our reservation so it takes about 20 min to get seated. We then get seated and no one comes aroundto give us anything we ordered 2 trays of appetizers and drinks and our orders and an hour later they gave us 2 rounds of drinks(because we asked) 1 basket of chips ? FOR THE WHOLE TABLE? and our appetizers AFTER we went and complained to the owner. (Thetable behind us came after us and got their tray of appetizers first. ) it was my grandmas bday and the food only got worse. Thecarne asada was green! The carne adobada was both overcooked and undercooked at the same time, had no flavor was half bone andmy cousin received a piece of tin foil in the beans. The pollo en crema was gross, they served us spoiled salsa! It was sour andhad a spoiled taste. And everyone got sick afterwards. And they had the nerve to charge us $300!!!!!!!! For that horribleexperience!!! Took 2 hours and nobody finished their food except for 1 person. 4 out of 10 plates we only took 2 bites and leftit all there! The waiter was rude and disrespectful and the owner even knew my grandma said he remembered her and even dancedwith her a little. If that doesn?t at least deserve decent service idk what does. Food was good but the service was horrible. After waiting about 45 minutes for a table we ordered our drinks and 2 of our... requests didn't arrive until after we reminded our waiter, almost everyone else at our table was done with their original drinksby then , that's how long it took. We placed our food order which took about another 40 minutes to get. We never got ourappetizer and our son was left without his order for additional 20 minutes. I ended up giving him my plate and when theybrought out his order it was a cheeseburger...we had ordered plantains and beans. When we got the bill they had charged us forthe appetizer we never actually got to which our waitress said we would still need to pay (card) and we would be refunded incash because they can't modify the order? Very strange. The taste of the food was good , I truly wish their service was betterthat would have made our experience much more pleasant. Read more
