This has to be the worst restaurant I have ever ate at! The food was extremly stale and tasted nasty. I couldn't even break down... the orange chicken in my mouth and had to spit it out. The noodles were so stale and hard that it makes uncooked top ramennoodles feel softer. Overall this has to be the strangiest experience I have ever had with food. TL:DR As someone who LOVES Chinese food, I would advise against this place for multiple reasons. Mediocre food, horrific... customer service, lack of rice w/entree, high prices, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Anywhere else. More Details: Afterplacing an order for delivery, early evening on a Wednesday, we were told the food would be delivered in an hour. After 75 min,I called for an update. The young woman who answered said it would be another 20 min. bc "I don't know, I guess it'sbusy". When the food was delivered – half an hour later – there was no rice with the entrees, cutlery, utensils, napkins orsauces. Surprising as those are usually included with Chinese cuisine... but not the end of the world. One entree was missingentirely (another was only about 3/4 full) so I called to let them know. I also asked about the white rice with entrees and wastold they don't include rice. The gentleman who answered the phone was nice. He took my order info and said he would send themissing entree over right away. He called back a little while later and said the manager had packed the bag and they didinclude the entree. They said it was a double order in a bigger container. He ended up handing me off to the manager who wasextremely rude. The manager insisted I was wrong, our order was correct and that the food containers have size numbers on them.I informed him the container did not have a number on it. I looked at all sides, including the bottom*. He refused to acceptthat I could possibly be telling the truth and when I told him I wasn't going to argue with him, he said he wasn't arguing. Itold him that since he was the manager, I wanted to complain about our entire experience with this place and he said he didn'tcare, he cared about the size of the containers (to prove me wrong). *Photos of container attached. Only lived in Los Angeles for 40 years and we finally found a great Chinese restaurant. All of the meals were delicious and the... owner was so friendly. Too bad we live in West LA. But it will be worth the drive when we will crave mandarin food again. Read more

My one complaint about this restaurant is how bad the service is. I went with a friend there for lunch and it took them well... over 15 minutes to bring us the water and menus. Afterwards it took another 20 minutes to get our order! In the meantime theybrought us a salad that looked like the manager special bags of old soggy salad you get a a grocery store. We ordered shrimp anda beef dish... Quality was OK, nothing special to rave about. Wouldn't visit this restaurant again. Update 12/18/19 Gave thisplace a second chance and it was much better a second time around. The lunch is inexpensive and you get a lot of food for yourmoney. The salad still falls short, but their hot and sour soup and their assorted sea food platter had plenty of flavor! THE BEST Chinese Restaurant in the ENTIRE Valley. Every single dish is incredible. Everything you order is fresh, delicious and... delightful. Every person, from the servers to the patrons, are ecstatic to be there. We have been coming to Bamboo for almost 20years and every time we go we are reminded about how special and wonderful this restaurant is.
