On our way from DFW to Tulsa I asked Google Maps for the best restaurant in Sherman. We were ready for lunch. At the top of the... list appeared the Old Iron Post. We found it just far enough off the highway to offer road relief, but without significantdelay. The old downtown setting and character of the restoration made a great first impression. Our server Haley welcomed usquickly and immediately made a personal connection. I'm always impressed when a server offers authentic recommendations on myfirst visit. Mom and I split the fish and chips with a side salad each. Excellent fresh ingredients and upon order preparationmade for a delicious and ample meal. Without intrusion, Haley took great care of us and made us feel as though we were long timefriends she offered special attention to. She even answered my questions about the architecture and history of the building. Iwill bring more family back to Sherman specifically to visit this iconic establishment! Stopped in for a couple of beers and a burger on a Sunday evening as a first stop traveling from out of state on business. Quiet... setting at the time. Beer selection was decent, but it would have been nice to have a menu/list that we could have looked at tomake a decision. I had the Bleu Burger with fries and it was c delicious! Read more
0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Me and my fiancé both ordered Philly cheesesteak to go with fries and a large sweet tea as well as... grilled cheese and fries for my son. We asked for mayo on the Philly cheesesteaks and they didn?t put any on we had to add itourselves when we got home. Meat also looks and taste like sloppy joe meat. My son wouldn?t eat his grilled cheese or frieseither. We won?t be ordering from here again . Read more

I ordered the chicken fried steak on Uber Eats. This, in the picture, is a $17 dollar entree. It's the size of 2 dairy queen... steak fingers. I'm wondering where the other 2/3 of my chicken fried steak are. Never eating from this place again. Read more
