It's always the shops that are tucked away that are the best! Was on a trip all the way from Baltimore and decided to stop here... before going to Antietam. Let's just say I wish I lived closer to this place now. As a barista of 2 years, I can tell whensomeone is very talented and this is the work of a very skilled barista who knows their way around both coffee and tea! Kudos tothe owner for one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. Super chill vibe ???? Read more

My family, friends and I have had countless cups of coffee from this place and most were good. The customer service, however is... just bad way too often (as you can see from the other poor reviews). The owner/barista just pounces on every person that doesn?tagree with him, spews his rage and tells them to never come back because he doesn?t need their business. Great business model. He also refuses to make the same elaborate drinks he personally makes part of his menu because he doesn?t have time. He?sclearly burned out. The hefty drink prices are not worth what you have to go through to get them. Read more

Great place to get coffee. They have a lot of character (and characters). The staff is always friendly, the prices are very... competitive. It's a real break from place that just serve McCoffee. They care about coffee and you can tell by the way they maketheir drinks. When you have 300+ great reviews and one person whining, I'd take it with a grain of salt. Read more

Growing up in Shepherdstown, and being there the day they opened, The Lost Dog has always had a special place in my heart. That... being said I need to give a special shout out to Garth for his hard work and dedication through it all! I will say, besidesbeing able to make some of the BEST coffee, people also need to understand Garth is also a human being. This man is not a bubblychick-fil-a staff member?because he doesn?t (and shouldn?t) need to be. He is a business owner, father, and dear friend to somany in the community. To be frank: order your coffee, respect his business, don?t make it overly fancy or sassy, don?t ask forwasteful products, and don?t expect him to kiss up to anyone. He doesn?t need your business that badly. We love you Garth! (Andyour coffee ????) Read more

GREAT little tea and coffee shop. This guy turns making tea into an art form. He's really well versed in teas in general.... Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Great outdoor seating. Walk up window service. They also sell fine bulk teas from China.Recommend! Read more
