Arrived on a Saturday night on Fathers Day weekend without a reservation. We were seated within 10 minutes and notified they... were short staff. We looked at the menu and decided on two cocktails(shady grove shrub & Line in the coconut margarita) and achop salad to share. When we were ready for a second round of drinks(Alma Bea Knees & Smoked Old Fashioned) and ordered ourfood. My wife ate the corn pasta and the smokey mashers and I had the chicken Pot pie with Fried Pickles. The quality of foodwas worth the wait. When we are back in the area, we will definitely check out their location again! Read more
Met a coworker one Wednesday night here. She suggested it and I figured what the heck, let?s give it a try. (She and a few other... Shepherdstown folk I know love this place). The atmosphere is one of a kind. Staff are very pleasant, attentive, but nothovering. I ordered the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. I?m not a huge pork fan but it was just calling me. Oh. My. Lordy. It wasone of the best dishes I?ve ever eaten, and I?ve eaten a lot of good food. It was the perfect size. I could have a little bit ofleftovers but I just couldn?t stop eating. It was simply divine. I couldn?t stop thinking about it days later, it was that good.It sounds dramatic, but it?s so true. I hope it never leaves the menu, I want it again. I had the Betty White to drink, veryrefreshing with the ginger. Wasn?t too sweet even though I like sweet cocktails. The various complimentary breads and homemadepimento cheese are fantastic as well. I?ve heard the sweets are divine too! Oh, and they have a little take out section/fridges.You can pop in and get yourself a to go meal or whole pie! Another big perk especially in Shepherdstown: it has parking! Givethis one of a kind place (at least for our area) a try! Read more

I am visiting from Austin,TX and my cousin recommended this place. Decided to stop by for their Sunday brunch. To say I was... blown away would be an understatement. They had a great drink menu that was as varied as it was impressive. I decided to go witha classic, the Bloody Mary. It was made with a house mix and not some off the shelf stuff. I ordered their biscuits and gravy, which was a blend of both sausage and brisket. The biscuits were smaller than traditionally sized biscuits, however there wasthe perfect ratio of biscuits to gravy, and the biscuits themselves just the right amount of moist, with a nice crisp bottom. The gravy was some of the best I?ve ever had. It was absolutely majestic. I have another week before I head home and willdefinitely will be returning for a dinner service. If you are in or around the area, I absolutely encourage you to check outthis gem of a restaurant. Read more
