We completely enjoyed the atmosphere and amazing wait staff. The food was very good as well. We ordered a banana split and they... were out of bananas, but our waiter, Matt, went to the grocery store to get bananas and then brought us one. How is that firamazing service? We had the most sweet attentive waitress names Lexi. She was a beautiful young lady that was very polite and helped us with all... of our questions plus made our younger kids happy. Very clean and friendly place. Whole family enjoys the food and the freshly made shakes. 50s burger joint that isn't run down... and has friendly employees equivalent to chick FIL a service. Food is tasty Addition: 1.8.21 The new manager Chris rocks,making rounds to all guests and offering taste tests of new sauces. Tasty burgers on very soft, flavorful rolls. We customized our own with the Build a Burger. Very fast service once we... ordered. Would've been a five star, but the girl who took our order kept interrupting as we gave our order slowly and clearly.When he went to give his order after mine, she did it again, asking if he wanted a Little Burger, which she hadn't asked me. Weasked how big the burgers are and she said the regular one is full size and the little one is kid size. Not sure why she'dinterrupt someone ordering to ask that. I have visited your establishment three times and this is the first that I have had an experience like this, which is why I am... leaving this review. I must say before I go further, on my first visit I had quite possibly one of the best cooked/preparedburgers I have ever eaten at fast food restaurant. Sadly I cannot the same on this visit. I usually stop by before work around8:00pm and I stopped by at that same time on this particular night. (Wednesday 6th 2021) I ordered a double All American Burgerwith no mayo, no cheese, fries and no drink. I do remember the young lady that took my order was polite and courteous. I did nottake my receipt which I wish I did. I paid $10.82. I remember that it was not busy at all. Maybe one to two patrons eating inthe dinning room. After placing my order she had to go to the back to let two young men know there was a order. When they cameout they were engaged in conversation which continued during the preparation of this order. I think all in all I waited roughlyabout 15 - 20 minutes. The young lady brought me my order and apologized for my wait. I thanked her and left. When I arrived atwork I found what the pictures attached show. Honestly I was at first disappointed and then became slightly angry. I was surethat I was clear in my order. It is possible the young lady did not hear me. First, there was the cheese that I specifically didnot ask for. Second, there was no additional patty only a single. The patty itself was hanging partially off the bottom bun.Lettuce looked as if it was simply thrown on the burger. With the exception of the fries which were good as usual(maybe a tadmore salt) the entire meal looked as if it had been carelessly thrown together. Excellent place. Very clean dining room and bathrooms. The food is fresh, the flavors were clear and didn?t taste previously... frozen. The shrimp Po Boy and Hamburger were awesome. I recommend getting the tater tots that come out crispy. The salads arefresh and well made. They have healthy options along with savory, indulgent, delicious treats. Many... milkshake flavors, but just enough food item variety to have something for everyone. Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries has amission since they opened twenty years ago, and it's remained the same: to provide each guest with world-class service and freshfood in a fun atmosphere. It's hard to believe that they have over 100 restaurants and this is the first one I have visited. Food was hot, fresh made to order and very tasty.
