The one big drawback to the Tumblweed location is that smoking is allowed in the restaurant. Despite the 'barrier' separating... smoking from non-smoking, the smell of cigarette smoke drifts over to the non-smoking side. The food, while tasty, was a bit onthe salty side for my liking. Read more

Service was good The restaurant and restrooms was clean. My daughter had a chicken salad and it was really good, she loved it. I... had the porterhouse steak with fries and side salad. I ordered the steak medium well and it was well done other then that thefood was good. The margaritas has to be remade the server was not sure if they added sugar or salt because I?m a diabetic I hadit to make sure it was not sugar added to the rim of the drink. Steak was definitely not med. well it was well well and my toast was all soggy but the grilled onions an pepper were delicious.

The service was great. The food has gone downhill. While I enjoyed my lunch chimi, the chips were either tough, chewy, greasy or... a combination. Which was especially disappointing since we bought queso. We did get a replacement basket but they were just asbad because that?s all they had. Our server tried to compensate with prompt friendly service. My mom had a salad and requestedno jalapeños but she had to pick them out. She also said the flavor was just not as good as it used to be. We can't understand why, in all the years we've lived in Shelbyville, we haven't been here until now. We've been missing out.... The menu selection is refreshingly diverse, the food was delicious, and our waiter, Darian, was absolutely outstanding. He wasattentive friendly, knowledgeable, helpful with suggestions and personable without being weird about it, lol. Little detailslike the candle stand to keep the queso warm and the quickly replenished bowl of chips really added something special to ourexperience. Speaking of the Chile con Queso - wow. That was really, really good. And they serve the thin chips that we bothreally prefer. Everything was prompt and tasty, made just how you'd hope, and the bill was quite reasonable. We got the Chilecon Queso, a buffalo chicken wrap and a massive margarita to share along with the chips and salsa for $32. The decor was...interesting, but appropriate for the theme. Wasnt looking for a tex mex when we went in. Lol suprise..nothing on the signs outside reflected Mexican.. but they did have a... variety to choose from. The waiter was very friendly n laughed along with us as we weeded thru the menu trying to decide.. weended up with chicken strips baked sweet potatoe n grilled veggies. They had a complementary mango sauce for the chip dip alongwith salsa n a guacamole that is made at the table so you can see what all goes in it.. they also serve steaks n grilledsalmon.. they have a kids menu and hamburgers as well.the decor complemented the menu n since I'm from Texas was able to spotitems that others would overlook..like the deer antlers and the lonestar flag to name a few.lol.. they do clean the tables aftereach visitor n sweep around the tables.. the prices are reasonable given the menu..
