My husband ordered the special, breaded porkchops, you would think since it was the special, it would be good. It was NOT, the... meal came out like a piece of rubber that could not be cut and the breading was twice as thick as the piece of meat that shouldnot have been served to anyone. The topping was that it was COLD and the mashed potatoes were like bricks. We stopped going toour local Cracker Barrel but were hoping that this one , 2 state away, would be better. We will simply take this restaurant offour list of places to eat. Even though they wanted to refund our money, it doesn't make up for hungry stomachs. Read more

This is being generous!! Server was not very attentive! I was supposed to get two scrambled eggs but looked like maybe one... extra small that was hard and flat instead of soft and fluffy! Bacon was hard when I asked for it to be cooked soft, and only ateaspoon ofHashbrown casserole!!!! Only good thing was the two fresh, soft, hot biscuits!!!! Read more

One of the worst customer experiences I have been a part of. First of all, there was a gnat in my lemonade. I drank some before... I realized. It was replaced immediately, but bugs in food/drinks is frankly unacceptable. We had to ask for straws for ourdrinks and it took two requests to get more silverware. One of our sets of silverware was coated in the previous patrons food.Disgusting? In the end, we still only had one knife for a table of seven. After some time after we ordered, we were told thefood would be ?right out.? Oh how wrong that was. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food. My poor grandmother had totrack the manager to ask about the status of our dinner. It was brought immediately after. Unfortunately, many of our items werecool or even cold. Seems like they had been prepared earlier, but the staff had failed to actually bring it to us. Neitherwaitress nor manager (who helped run our food) offered any apology or explanation for the long wait. We had to ask twice toreceive some syrup with the already-cold pancakes. My sister-in-law requested a new steak because her steak was cold. When a newone was received, it was rare and even a little less than that. Truly pitiful and nearly dangerous to consume. The manager wasbrought over and the meal was removed from the bill and the manager offered a brief apology. Our waitress was friendly, but whenshe wanted us to help pass around drinks or plates, she would order ?Pass that down for me.? Not a please or thank you in sight.It?s embarrassing to take your whole family out to eat after I long week of work and have such a poor experience. Had lunch with my husband on 7/2/2022 and our waitress was Michelle! She was so accommodating and quick with her service.... Although having a seemingly rough day she still took the time to chat with us and smile. Thank you for good food and greatservice Michelle. Read more

Wife and I stopped for late breakfast. I got the sunrise sampler, she got the pancake breakfast. With 2 drinks it came out to... $28 plus tip. Food was great. Service was poor last time, but much better today, could have been due to how slow they werethough. My main negative is that the biscuits were hard enough to break a window with. They need to replace then with fresh oneswhen they get that hard. Otherwise, everything was great and tasted very fresh! Read more

Right off Hwy 64. I stopped for lunch and the restaurant was busy, but not crowded. Staff was friendly. Hostess brought us over... to a dirty table and we had to stand in the aisle while we watched her clean and sanitize it. Although, it wasn't a greatimpression, we were happy to see it was cleaned well. I ordered the grilled trout, mashed potatoes, and country beans. After a45 minute wait, the fish finally swam to my table. The trout and country beans were excellent. The mashed potatoes were good,but I won't rave about them. Overall, it was a good lunch, but the 45 minute wait for the food was a little long. Read more
