We came here on our way home from Forest City and were very impressed. The food was delicious, everything came out well timed,... and had a great server. We started with the shrimp tempura and calamari appetizers and I ordered the firecracker roll, thejalapeño roll, and the spicy tuna roll. My favorite was the firecracker roll, I wish I took a picture, but the way the fish wascubed in a pile on top of the california roll was incredible. The jalapeño roll definitely was a different flavor profile fromtraditional sushi rolls, but was still really tasty, especially with shrimp sauce. I?ll definitely visit again when I?m in thearea! We ordered a scallop hibachi and mahi hibachi, along with gyoza as a takeout order. First off, the food took more than an hour... to be ready, and when it came time to pick up, the food still wasn't ready! We waited an additional 20minutes for our last item,while the 2/3 meals were sitting packaged and getting cold. No big deal though. We got home and opened them up, and boy are theysad. Canned sweet carrots, frozen veg, steamed rice that both looked and tasted a day old. The scallops were honestlypathetically small and the mahi was so overdone that it was tough and hard. Again, the carrots are canned and come in some sortof glaze that doesn't mesh with the rest of the food. The gyoza was also hard and the skin was tough. The flavor was good butthe sauces were definitely lacking. Who wants to eat old rice, canned veg, and tough meat for $13? Not me. Definitely not worthit. Only keeping the 2nd star because I love gyoza and it tasted good despite the abhorrent texture. Read more

The food is good, the service is great. They are understaffed, so you will wait awhile for your food. It is worth the wait.... Prices are good. Ambience is horrible. We were seated right at the entrance area. There was really loud bad hair metalmusic/radio station blaring at you as soon as you walk in. There are tables lined up as soon as you walk in for takeouts orders.We were seated by the door, and there was a constant beeping sound that never stopped the whole time we were there. The otherside of the restaurant was better, and I would ask to sit there. Nothing ruins a good dining experience like Bon Jovi in yourear and others lined up waiting for takeout literally right beside your table. The food is very good, though. Served my food cold and tried to argue and say that?s how it?s supposed to be. Fried shrimp and cooked steak are NOT cold. They... were rude when I said something and told me that?s how it?s supposed to be. Will not be going back. The tempura shrimp that wasnot touching anything should have still been warm. I?m not saying the roll should have been piping hot, but at least slightlywarm. But no, this shrimp and steak was cold like it came out of the fridge. Cold crab and cream cheese, which wasn?t eventouching the shrimp and steak, would not make them THAT cold. Read more
Always great food! We got lunch shrimp hibachi, tofu bento box and a super crunch roll. The hot tea has an amazing wood taste to... it, no sweetener needed! Some servers are better than others, but they are stretched very thin. Just sit back and enjoy a drink. Read more
I went there with a group of coworkers on our lunch hour. There were seven of us total. It took awhile for our server to get our... orders. Two tables who came in after ours got their food before we did. My fish tacos didn't come until fifty minutes after wehad been there. My tacos were good but I hardly had any time to eat them because I had to go back to work at by 1pm. Our serverwas alright, nothing exceptional. My partner and I tried calling in some sushi to pick up due to the website not working, called and instead of getting the normal... ?hi thank you for calling sushi dojo how can I help you?? We got nothing. The line was silent and we overheard two women talkingabout how she unplugged the phone so no more customers can call, and about how an employee hasn?t showed up to work in the lasttwo weeks. Definitely not professional, at least make sure no one is on the phone before you talk about how you unplugged thephone so you wouldn?t get anymore calls or talk trash about a coworker. I understand if a place is busy but it takes less thanfive minutes to explain that your store is busy and put someone on hold. Read more
