Did an online order for the first time, so I was not sure where I was supposed to pick up my food and didn?t realize that they... kept the food behind the counter, which I have no problem with. When I walked in nobody noticed I was even in the door, nobodywas behind the counter where they prepare the food, so I walked up to the register (the only person there) to ask the girl thereif my order was ready because I didn?t know where to pick it up, again it was my first mobile over order. well the girl at theregister asked another girl if my order was ready, and I walked over to the end of the counter and picked it up. The girl behindthe counter who gave me my order, told me "not to bother the people down at the register" and to get someone near the foodcounter to give me my order next time. I told her when I walked in, there was no one there, and she rolled her eyes at me andwalked away. Extremely rude. if I had asked the same question over and over again, and was told the same response over and overagain, I can understand the frustration and even the rudeness towards me. But I didn?t know, because this was my first timedoing an online order. And quite frankly the entire place was empty except for one person filling up a drink. So I?m not surewhat the big deal was answering a simple question, and handing my food over nicely and respectfully, because it?s not like theyhad a bunch of guests to attend you to begin with. They only have "hot" sandwiches. When I think of a Sub sandwich, I think of a cold one, too. Especially on a hot day! I took a... salad home. It was very good...but I thought I saw that they use romaine lettuce. Turns out it was iceberg lettuce in the salad.I must've misread the sign. They have a new soda dispenser that I was unfamiliar with on how to use. I asked the "servers" butnot one of then came from behind the counter to help me. (I'm a stroke victim and have problems with some newer computers!) Goodold ice tea was right there, tho! I opted for tea! The atmosphere was great. There was real fire equipment there provided by theowners son/Shawnee fire department. THAT IS VERY COOL!One server was very helpful when I said it was my first time there. Ithink she is the manager. I noticed she was training some of the others. When I'm ready for a hot sub this fall, I will go back.I will get salads there during the summer in the meantime! The salads are worth the trip!
