I ordered the small sample plate, the portion was huge, but everything was COLD! I asked to warm it up, they offered me a a new... plate, I said no just warm up this one. I got it back lukewarm! I read lots of good reviews however I found many how wascomplaining about cold food. I think a 10$ food thermometer and a bit attention could solve this problem. The service wasgreat. Amazing BBQ! We were headed down the 44 for a trip through the 299. They were up the 5 about 10 minutes or so, so we decided to... try them out. We decided on the baby back rib plate with the two sides of potato salad and cowboy beans. Just delicious!!! Theribs were mighty meaty and the BBQ sauce was so good. The cowboy beans side was huge for the proportion and super flavorful.Loved the potato salad and a huge portion as well. I totally recommend sharing a meal plate if you normally eat smallerportions. We had high hopes. Maybe it was an off night for the smoker / kitchen. But the servers were INCREDIBLE. Fast, friendly service... and my cup was never empty. The large sampler has so much potential but everything was so bland :( Read more
Nice hidden gem. Meat is actually smoked unlike some other places like to claim. Price is a little steep but the portion size is... nice. My one friend did the loaded fries with the pulled pork. The other did the small pulled pork with potato salad and thebaked beans. I did the small meat sampler and a side of potatoe salad. Way more than one could eat but so worth it. Food wasreally good and atmosphere was really nice. Will definitely be back for more. Read more

Visited twice in a week during my long-distance moving via I-5. Great stop to have a break. I had a beef rib at the first time.... I forgot the exact price but it was just a bit above $20, which was super cheap! The rib was certainly juicy and well seasoned.Loved it! If it's cooked a bit longer to render the fats, it'd be perfect though. That being said, I'd surely order beef ribagain. 2nd time, I had a large plate that included all kinds of meat: they only gave me baby back ribs in the plate, but Iadded some spareribs (St. Louis style) separately. However, perhaps because of my high expectation, the meat cuts overallweren't very impressive. Both types of pork ribs were on the dry side, brisket cuts were only available in forms of flat meat,not having much moisture either. Trip-tip were not super tender but good in my opinion. Pulled pork and links were nice. Theservers were very friendly, including the pitmaster. The vibe was clean and cozy also. Overall, I was very satisfied with thebeef rib, and would love to visit again someday. Read more
Great place for everyone to enjoy a delicious meal. Great food, large portions of deliciousness... All of their meats are... prepared and seasoned to perfection! My favorite is their pulled pork. Best bbq in Shasta County! The brisket is the best I?ve ever had in my life, period and the ribs are equally incredible. Always... been consistently good every time we?ve been here, everything is perfectly cooked. Get the sample platter cuz you?re gonna wantto try it all, prices are very reasonable too IMO Read more
