A group of us showed up close to closing time for dine in. Our host took care of us quite well. I got the Gino's special pizza... and others got various hoagies. The pizza was excellent with generous fresh toppings. The hoagies are large! 8's and 16's fromthe looks of them and everyone was pleased with their orders. Prices are very reasonable. I usually don't order salads from pizza/bar food places because I don't expect them to be made with good quality veggies, but... the menu said the Greek salad was made with "fancy mixed greens". Instead, it was made with romaine/iceberg mix. The menutotally misrepresents the actual ingredients used and I would've just ordered pizza had it not said it was made with fancy mixedgreens. Hoagie was terrible, u couldnt pay me to eat there again. There were uncooked mushrooms and green peppers on the steak hoagie.... Flavor was all wrong. And the meat looked and smelled like the sole of a shoe. Presentation was bad, taste was bad, 0/10 wouldnot recommend Read more
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I order from here at least 3 times a week with orders $30 or more. This is the second Sunday that my... order was COMPLETELY INCORRECT and I'm to blame (mind you I order the EXACT SAME ITEMS ON LINE). The female "manager" left me onhold for 7 minutes then the call was disconnected. When I arrived at the establishment she was rude as ALWAYS and tried to makeme pay more for their mistake!!!! I'm not in Sharpsburg very often, but I was craving a calzone while passing by, so why not give Gino Bros a try? After all,... there aren't too many pizza shops in Sharpsburg when compared to other areas in Pittsburgh. I got their regular cheese calzone(build your own) and the Oreo cheesecake. The calzone was very good. When I first got the box, I felt a little disappointedwith the portion. However, after actually eating it, the portion was okay for the price. There's definitely other places thatgive better bang for your buck, though. It's $13 for only 10 inches. The crust was lovely. It had a great dusting of cheese ontop. Plus, I love that it was still a bit crispy when I got my order. The crunch elevated it. There was a fair amount of cheeseinside. A bit heavier on the mozzarella and provolone and less ricotta than in other places. Tomato sauce was inside the calzonebut didn't make it soggy. It was on the sweeter side and there wasn't too much of it. The dessert was definitely not theirstrength. It tasted like a very standard food service cheesecake, not a delicious, creamy homemade variety. It was oddly blandand lacked the sweetness I expected; plus its texture was a bit off too. The crust was okay, but I would recommend skippingdessert (especially since this was $6). All in all, this was a great calzone. It was a bit smaller than in most other places,but it's high quality. If you're in Sharpsburg, it's worth a try. Just order dessert from somewhere else. Read more
I am a frequent customer and My friend and I had ordered 24 wings, they ended up giving us 12 and said I had to contact the... owner tomorrow instead of resolving the situation there and now I had paid almost 40$ and I probably won't be returning becauseof the customer care that they had .. plus they overcharged me and said I ended up eating 12 wings in the mist of 4 mins goingto the 13th street bridge while driving !. Id give this place 10 stars if i could, absolutely delicious! The crust is like a donut in texture not dense like some places.... We had their signature pizza, an added banana peppers. Probably the best pizza ive ever had in my life! Thank you! Read more
Great pizza! Perfect location! It?s very nice to sit down and eat, and also convenient to take away. Awesome beer selection.
