Reviews for Salsa Fresca Mexican Restaurant in Sewell, NJ
Prices went up that okay ???? but the food was just okay. The Taco ???? we're smaller and not filled. The Tacos need a second... tortilla wrap because one is mushy. My brother food was smaller. I always like coming here but if you're going to charge more atleast keep the portions the same. This isn't Taco Bell. $15 for three tacos. That's a lot of money. At least pack them Read more
Food needed more flavor. Lets start with the salsa and guacamole. The salsa was watery and bland. The guacamole was not fresh... and bland. Rice was bland and didn?t taste like authentic yellow rice. Burritos looked and tasted more like an enchilada.Chicken nachos tasted horrible and looked horrible. The chicken looked like cat food on the nachos. Dessert was good. And thewaitress were good. Bathroom had no toilet paper. Won?t be coming back. Ever. Read more
Ordered take out from here with a group of friends, ordered a chicken burrito. Simple enough, but all that was in the burrito... was just chicken and it was poorly wrapped and placed in a container in the middle of refried beans and rice. The flavor of thefood was good. But every other authentic Mexican restaurant I have been to serves burritos that are filled with more than justchicken. Plus because they placed it in the middle of a container with refired beans the tortilla got soggy and I had to eat itwith a fork and knife. I'm sure other food is probably good but it was disappointing to me. Read more
I?m not sure if we went on a bad day, but we ordered post-lunch rush (2ish) for a group of 10. They messed up everyone?s order,... couldn?t tell us what was what and fought us when we pointed out they missed items. The man working got verbally aggressivepretty quickly. Even more disappointing was the quality of the food. Our burritos came covered in sauce and dairy, even whenasked for dairy free. The rice was dry and flavorless. Chicken was stringy and dry. Fries were cold and soggy. Probably one ofthe worst crew lunch orders we have ever experienced. Read more
First time being here. Place is nicely decorated and I was happy that they were actually playing Spanish music in the... background. We were placed at a very small table and after looking at the menu and wanting to try a couple of different thingswe asked to be moved to a larger table. So prices are really not that bad. We had two platters and an app and spent approx $50.The app was a dip with ground beef, beans, red sauce and cheese. Nice presentation but there was barely any meat in it and itwas mostly refried beans which was not specified on the menu. We both enjoyed our platters they were decent size portions and weboth commented that the side rice was actually flavorful. We had a Visa gift card and was told after running the card that therewas a 3% charge for using a credit card. I've never experienced this in a restaurant. Also since it was after they ran the cardthe charge was given without any chance to decline it. I did not see this clearly noted any where upon entrance either. Not thatthis is a lot of money to pay extra but we could of just payed cash and avoided the fee had we been told previously. Also, thedoor to come in this location needs to be marked better. We were so confused where we were supposed to go in as there isn't evenas much as a sign. Staff was pleasant. If it wasn't for the sneaky charge I may have gone back again to try more things. My family went for lunch yesterday and it was delicious. We will in and we're seated immediately. It wasn't too crowded. It... was after lunch time but before dinner time. The food was great! My wife got chicken and steak fajitas and it was enough foodfor 2 more meals. My daughter got the Hawaiian fajitas and was surprised that it was served in a pineapple. My pork burrito wasfantastic! I'm sure we'll be back Read more
I really like this place. Their food was fresh and very tasty. The service was friendly and quick. It wasn?t really all that... packed when we first got there but people started filling in a little later after five. They don?t serve alcoholic beverageswhich is fine, as I don?t drink, but others may want to. They have a BYOB policy and there?s a store right next-door where youcan buy your drink to bring it in. There were also a few vegetarian options on the menu which really helped me out. A lot ofMexican food contains a lot of animal products and so it was nice to be able to go somewhere where they offered alternatives. Ididn?t know this place was here and I lived in the area for four years already. It was a surprise considering when I opened uptheir door, there was a fancy Mexican restaurant tucked away in a little plaza. It?s definitely worth a try if you?re in themood for authentic Mexican food. Read more
Just picked up my $78 order. When I called and placed the order I told the owner on the phone for the Enchillads Supreme I just... wanted the enchiladas, sauce and rice. Nothing else on it. Get the order and everything is on the enchiladas. I called backto tell him and see if he would make me a new one. He starts arguing, talking over me and contradicting what I said. He's therudest person ever. He should not be answering the phone or taking orders. He definitely doesn't know anything about customerservice. He'll be losing my $500/month on food. Read more
