Both the turkey club and pulled pork sandwiches were delicious. Each had a little spin on it or something modestly extra (ex.... cranberry mayo) that warranted a place on the menu. The fries were fine, if a little chewy and not as crisp as one would expectgiven the "shoestring" style. For dessert, the orange cake, although (disappointingly) very light on any orange flavor, wasstill tasty in its own right; warm, gooey, and dolloped with ice cream. A very large portion more than adequate for twopeople. Very courteous and accommodating staff. Roomy space with basic, unassuming atmosphere. Overall, you won't leaveHolston's Kitchen raving over nuance or perfect execution, but for those craving tasty and simple American fare, patrons shouldfind plenty to enjoy. Read more
First time here and we loved this place! Spinach n artichoke dip was amazing! We ate the entire bread bowl! We had the 12 oz... ribeye and fried shrimp. Steak and shrimp were both very good although my husband said they need a bigger steak than 12 oz. Onlyreason for a 4 and not 5 is because our sides weren't that great. Baked potato a little burnt but still too firm, rice pilaf wasundercooked and broccoli was cold but also still very hard. I like mine steamed til tender. What a wonderful experience this was. The appetizer of buffaloed cauliflower was absolutely delicious. I could have eaten it for... my meal. Give it a try, even if you don?t normally like cauliflower. The waitress was nice and attentive. The bar is stockedwith enough to meet anyones needs. We decided to try this place. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. It was very good. Our server Blaine was... great. He was very helpful! We ordered the orange soak cake I sent it back. It didn't taste like orange and the sauce that comeson it I didn't like. However our server suggested the cheesecake and it was absolutely scrumptious! We wanted to try a new steakhouse, so we stopped in at Holston?s Kitchen. What a great discovery and not far from my house.... Highly recommend if you want amazing food. We had the Country Fried Steak and Steak and Chicken Fajitas they were absolutelyamazing!! Great selection of bourbons and other specialty drinks, the service was fantastic, our food came out of the kitchen inorder (appetizer, salad, entree). We will definitely be back!! Read more
I had the whiskey bent burger, it was really good and we had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. But they where out of half... the options on the kids menu, No spaghetti, hamburger or mac and cheese bits. So we ordered him fried shrimp. I figured theywould just give our little guy 4 or 5 and charge us for a kids meal but nope full adult order and price for him to only eat 4 ofthem. Read more
