Let me start off first by saying I absolutely LOVE Cafe Rio. It has been an obsession of mine for about a year now. I literally... go EVERY single week. My favorites are the nachos, and the queso. Their queso is some of the BEST I've ever had. The staff isalways very nice and friendly, especially the Manager Felipe. 9/10 the queso is thick and flavorful, but the last few times I'vegotten it, it's been VERY thin, watery, and bland. Queso should not run off of a chip like a watery liquid. ???? I wish theywould just follow one set recipe/method of preparing their queso. Seems everyone there makes it different. When it's preparedproperly, it's soooo thick and creamy and ridiculously delicious. So please Rio, PLEASE stop making the queso thin and watery.Your queso is too good for that nonsense. I highly recommend! This is my go-to Cafe Rio location as the customer service here is always exceptional. The food is... consistent and delicious. The agua de horchata is a must try. They have a great selections of Mexican dishes, vegan friendly,and halal friendly. The ambience is welcoming and clean. Definitely a must try. Read more
Months ago I would have recommended this location to a lot of people but not anymore. Recently, things have gone downhill. The... service is slow, pork has lost its quality, and now today, I waited an extra hour for my two-person order of food. Orderssubmitted 30 minutes after mine were completed and placed out. The staff could not care less. Any attempt to ask them the statusof my meal was met with annoyed sighs. This recent experience, I asked why multiple online orders, submitted only 15 prior werefinished but no sign of mine. The staff member rolled his eyes, cut me off asking for my name, printed my order, and walked itover to the line to be prepared. No apology or explanation. I arrived after my estimated time and still wait an extra hour onlyto find out they "didn't see" my order. I've been eating at Cafe Rio for years at their different locations and this one ishonestly the worst. Got home to find bugs in my lettuce, no guacamole that we ordered, and bad tasting pork again. Worst Cafe Rio I?ve ever been to. There are plenty of employees but apparently only one who knows how to make the food. The line... takes so long that I could?ve driven an hour to a different location and gotten my food sooner. Also, while waiting in line,they ran out of half the basic ingredients to make food. Obviously poor management. Then they added that they can?t take creditcards, cash only. Half the line had to leave their orders or beg friends to pay for them. Won?t be back, and I hope they eitherget new management or go the way of poorly managed restaurants: out of business. Read more

I usually come to get Grilled Chicken Salad, Haven?t been in a while because it?s far from me but I decided to come today and... the price of the bowl was raised. Also I wanted to get sour cream on my bowl and house dressing on the side like I usually doevery time for no extra charge and they told me it would be an extra charge for each. When I asked the worker when did theystart charging extra for those he told me it has always been that way even though I have never been charged before.
