Happen to be there when a band called General's Army was playing and totally enjoyed the music.. Sat out on deck and enjoyed... great food and everyone on the staff was attentive and friendly..!! No wait time.. And this was a night that a high schoolreunion was going on.. Had no complaints whatsoever.. Keep up the good work guys.. We will definitely be returning and highlyrecommend.. Ok so I was quite torn on this find. Its an epicly placed, lakeside restruant and bar. The menu is actually really good and... fairly priced. The food oit of the kitchen was GREAT. Its well portioned in size and the quality of what we ordered wasimpressive. We were all very happy with our meals. The view cant be beat and the general theme is really fun, especially for thelake. Our contention for the place was only 2 things: 1) The service, at least our service this time, was sluggish, slow andunrefined. Perhaps it was isolated, we will come back abd try again. 2) the place is in need of a bit more maintence. It needs anew coat of paint. Yank some cobwebs down. Clean the inside up a bit. Pressure wash. Clean up the landscaping. And reboot thatworn out kids playground. Honestly I really, really like the place. My impression was that someone built this place and justdoes not have the right staff to cater to people and maintain things. The food was EXCELLENT. Very fun bar/restaurant ???? the food isn't great but the atmosphere and the people are what make it fun! There's live music a... place for the kids to play. Games for adults, a little ice-cream stand in the front and it's right on a beautiful lake. Therereally isn't much more you can ask for! Read more
I know I already rated this place but here I am giving another rating. The restaurant is pretty big it is also a bit warm but... the food is so good. Depending on how busy they are is how long your food will take. The bar seems to be the place for singlesto hand out and they have karaoke out doors on the patio, honestly I could do without the music but others may like it. If youdo not like loud than I wouldn't go but you will miss out on good food. Their pot pies are so good but my favorite is thechicken fried steak. The rolls taste like trash just FYI. Read more
The staff are wonderful and the food is delicious. Add in the fun atmosphere and you have a fantastic restaurant. Great for a... date night or for the whole family. The kids love the play area just be prepared to clean up some sand! Well worth it for theamount of fun the kids have. Live music on Fridays for the outdoor bar. They have a boat dock which is perfect for grabbinglunch while enjoying a day out on the lake! I can't say enough good things about this amazing restaurant. Read more
So my wife and I decided to try this place after she kept asking. Well to be perfectly honest we will never go back. Thee food... was good. But the service was horrible. I don't know if our waitress was drunk or high. She clearly smelled like Marijuana.Summer was our waitress. She messed up our order, we had to ask to have our glasses refilled and she was very rude to my wife.This is unacceptable. So while the restaurant itself is good the service will keep us away in the future. Read more
The best restaurant lakeside at Cedar Creek. Well, there are only 2 anyway. There is a bar for alcoholic beverages all day and... a lively bar scene at night. Small but decent menu with something for everyone. Food has always been good on our visits and wego about 2 or 3 times a month. The lake view is great and there is a large outdoor seating area and an outdoor bar as well. Read more
Excellent lakeside location, delicious food and speedy service - only at Vernon's! We were so lucky to have AJ as our server,... she was so kind and courteous. Her food recommendations were fantastic - we had the shrimp skewers, chicken pot pie and thepecan pie with Texas praline icecream. Vernon's is a complete party place with outdoor seating, entertainment stage, kids playplace and an outdoor bar too! There is a separate menu for kids and AJ gave our kids crayons and coloring pages too. We highlyrecommend this place to all locals and visitors! Read more
