the view is gorgeous and the staff was helpful having let us order despite us arriving at 5 minutes to 2pm (they close at 2 and... then I believe they reopen for dinner at 5pm ) They did have a gluten free turkey and Swiss option which was very good and"reasonably" priced ($12). The pizza was also reasonably priced but my family said they have had better tasting frozen pizza(sorry to say...it didn't look very good either.) I noticed that a glass of house wine was $15 - good thing that we do notdrink!) :) If you want to relax with a good view, this would be a great place to eat. Otherwise I would buy some bread andlunch meat or cheese, hardboiled eggs and crackers and beverages around the corner and sit outside at a picnic table and enjoythe same view. Read more

We came here a few times during our three night stay at the lodge for breakfast and dinner. I had read the reviews and didn't... have high expectations so I wasn't disappointed. Overall the food is good and if you ask to dine in it's served in proper platesbut with plastic utensils. Considering how much the park cares about the environment, I found the abuse of plastic utensils veryupsetting and couldn't really make sense as to why they're not using silverware. You place your order at the entrance and thefood is brought to your table which I didn't mind as it clearly helps them process orders faster. Portions are not too generousand it's not cheap. I don't recommend the sandwiches which are made earlier and not fresh, the bread is very cold and in myopinion they're missing a huge opportunity with the sandwiches by not serving them in freshly baked bread. The pizza is goodquality, simple but with excellent crust, clearly freshly baked! The specials we tried were good, but expensive. Breakfastoptions are good and it's all self service so it's quick. Considering it's the only place serving food during fall and winter inthe entire park, I think it's a very good option if you know what to expect! Read more

Not good. Web sites show steaks and great dishes. Main dinner was Neef & Brocolli for $22. Only 3 choices and the snack bar... menu. Served in take out box with poor plastic "silverware". No service of any kind...you are on your own. Very poor for aNational Park facility that charged $275 for a standard roo. and no other food service for over a 1.5 hour drroom. PARK SERVICESHOULD BE ASHAMED!!! Read more

One of my favorite places we stopped along our drive through the park. The pizza is huge! My fiancé and I got the Works and the... new black lager before our hike. It was so filling that even after our hike we needed more time to get hungry again. Read more

We had a lovely time in the park. The last thing we did before leaving was stop here to eat. Waste of time. We arrived about 15... minutes before dinner service @ 5. Line is growing. 5 rolls around and I see 3 or 4 staff but no one is aknowledging customersor opening. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes later they start taking orders at the bar. We ordered a chicken dish and flank steak dish. Fordrinks a cider on tap and my partner wanted a cocktail, all they had is a canned margarita. The food is at the pickup counter inStyrofoam boxes before we even finish ordering. The dining area is beautiful, lined with windows. The steak was overcooked. Thechicken was literally half a chicken. It was cooked well but lacking flavor. Not to mention half a chicken and an overcookedsteak is pretty hard to eat when all you get is plastic utensils. The side potatoes were good. The side salad was not. It tastedlike it was only dressed in apple cider vinegar and the baby carrots were undercooked. We spent $75 . $75 is a lot to serveyourself not very well prepared food. We ate at many other places in California for around this price and every one blew thisplace way out of the water. Skip it. Loved this restaurant, unexpectedly good food, generous portions, and reasonable price, especially in a National Park. This... place had a nice dinner menu after 5pm. I had the Turkey, my wife had the Flatiron steak. Both good. Indoor or outdoor seating, due to staff shortage, you order at the bar, then pickup your food and seat yourself. Great views of the surrounding scenery. The restaurant and parking lot are sort of hidden away from the main road, not visible until you are well into the entranceroad. Read more

Great stop for some lunch and a beer in the mountains! Menu was small, but food was delicious. A few different taps offered... local craft brews, plus a domestic option. Outdoor patio offered a nice view of the mountains. Thankful for the umbrellas andthe ability to get some shade while we ate! Spacious indoor dining area if weather is bad or if indoor dining is preferred. Read more
