Reviews for Robin's Place in Sequim, WA
I went to this restaurant last weekend because they had vegan and gluten free options. It was the weekend of the Lavender... Festival so it was extremely busy and they seemed ill equipped to deal with it. The girl taking orders and working the cashregister was new as well. I could have overlooked all of this and given them the benefit of the doubt IF the food had beenedible and the service at least reasonably cordial. I asked a few simple questions about the menu and the owner (who fieldedquestions because the new cashier didn't know the answer) was EXTREMELY RUDE. It made me wonder why she actually decided toopen a restaurant. And also, I cannot be the first person to ask if the GF bread is vegan (it's wasn't), as she so rudely saidunder her breath. The girl at the counter seemed nice and it was only her third day, so I really don't fault her. Also, theowner was extremely short and rude to her. I get it, it was a busy weekend. People can be understanding of this if treatedrespectfully as I stated above. Long story short, if you are a Vegan who is Gluten Free DON'T GO HERE. I have no idea why sheoffers either option. We waited about 40 minutes to finally get our two bowls of soup, after I reminded them that we had orderedit and were still waiting. Mine (the vegan option) was just OK. My mom ordered the seafood chowder and threw half of itaway. Please be nicer to your customers. You seem offended that they are actually coming to your restaurant to order food. Read more
Having driven past this place countless times, we finally tried this little gem tucked away in the far corner in the co-op... parking lot. Our lunches were tasty filling and inexpensive. They have daily specials, soups sandwiches and take out readymeals. They have gluten free and vegan options. A small counter to eat at and several small tables inside as well a picnic tableoutside. A fine little gem! Read more
Lots of vegetarian options! Had a spicy tempeh sandwich. Not super spicy but super tasty!!
Robin is amazing! The food is wonderfully delicious, but the service is what really knocks this place out of the park. An... example, Robin goes around to each table when she has a break from preparing and cooking, to make sure everyone is happy withtheir food. When she came to our table, we assured her we were pleased. She noticed (before I did) that I could use a knife, which she promptly brought. Love this hidden gem! Read more
Something in My cold sandwich was rotten. It was ham, cheddar, onion, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, mustard and was on wheat... bread. The place didn?t have a single customer. The lady who make my food was very nice. But I was so grossed out. I see goodreviews on here, maybe it was on off day. But I would never go back. Read more
Food quality was just OK. Had a toasted cheese with bacon & tomato with a side of clam chowder. Tomatoes were barely ripe &... somewhat tasteless and the chowder while having a decent amount of clams & some spices to add flavor was rather watery. Whilethe people were nice, the cashier was going to charge me $1.50 to split the order. Mind you, food was served on paper plateswith plastic utensils. I inquired what it was for & I told her I wasn't splitting the order (although I planned on sharing it)& she quickly dropped the added charge. Food was prepared pretty quickly which was a positive & place had plenty of freeparking too. Read more
Formerly Fresh Mix Grill, this new soup and sandwich spot is off to a great start. Vegans and vegetarians note several menu... items for us! And a separate, vegan only grill coming soon. Friendly folk, fresh food nicely done by chef Robin! Read more
Pros: Amazing tasting food, ample parking, a delightful and unusual vary of condiments. Cons: Owner basically lectured my lunch... guest about her health choices, was slow to cook, small place without forced air, high prices, didn?t clear table when we weredone eating, didn?t serve us our ordered drinks until we reminded her. It?s sad the place is up for sale, but with bettermanagement this establishment could flourish. Read more
