I don't often go in for chain restaurants but once in a while I get a culinary itch for country fried steak and the menu at... Cracker Barrel delivers. Breakfast is usually the big draw here for me but they have a reasonably decent pork dinner and chickendinner too. Far from gourmet, at least the service here in Sellerburg is attentive, efficient and consistently above average.My particular favorites are the hash brown casserole as well as the bacon Mac & Cheese. Have ate at this place for years. Today my sister and I arrived before 11:30. Was seated promptly. Took awhile for waitress to... take our order. I'm fine with that. But it took 40 minutes to get our food! We were about to walk out when it arrived. You haveserious problems in your kitchen. I have worked in school cafeterias for years. So I know how to get the food out to people. Onegood thing is food was good. No way could people eat here for lunch if they worked or were on a road trip. Read more

My girlfriend and I decided to eat at this location to tonight. We arrived approximately 7 pm this evening. We were seated... pretty quickly. The waitress that took our drink order seemed pleasant. The waitress took our order, and we ordered anappetizer. So 15 to 20 minutes passes by and the waitress comes to our table and says "Your order got thrown away". She asked usto repeat our order, so we nicely ordered our food again. She said our appetizer we ordered was almost ready. Look I work in thecustomer service business and I've had bad days. So I tend to lean towards anyone who is providing service to me as well.Another 15 minutes pass, our waitress then comes back to our table and says " I'm sorry we are out of the appetizer youordered". Took 10 minutes... seriously.. to get seated. Employee after employee walked past us without acknowledging we were there. No... one would even look at us. And we weren't the only people waiting Kept having to tell the server what came with our meal.Positive....Steak that came with our meals was awesome. Done perfectly. Read more

I went here tonight with my family. We had a very enjoyable time, however, I couldn't help but notice the lack of smiles from... the employees with the exception of the waitress who was very nice and cheery. The food was flavored good but cold. I didn'tand wouldn't complain, customer service is hard enough without complainers. I tried to give as many smiles as possible toeveryone and tipped appropriately. I will go back because this is our favorite restaurant and it's always been amazing in thepast. I hope the management sees this and does something nice for them to help them to like their jobs more. The best way tomotivate people is money, especially in these hard economic times. A raise would be good for moral. A thank you andcompliments help too. I hope the customers see this and give extra smiles to the staff and that they tip their servers well. It has been a hard time for all the restaurants but this visit had plenty of servers AND what seemed to be a manager! Which is... usually what precedes good service. I had the pancake beep and it was good. It here is what I really liked I asked for crispybacon and as the server set it down in front of me.. she said ?It?s not crispy, is it??
