Delicious 2 meat plate! More than I could eat. Brisket was super tender and I was happy to have a ?lean? option. Definitely... worth the cost and not as expensive as rival BBQ joints in town. I love the open seating and not having a waitress to stress meout. Read more
Place overated, corn bread and chicken dryer than the saharan desert, brisket was alright,ribs not even worth the extra charge... .First time at the " true texas bbq" and very disappointed, wouldn't recommend this place. Read more

Excellent delicious BBQ, and friendly staff and service. I happen to be in the area and stopped by for my second visit for... lunch. Unfortunately the whole city block had a complete power failure just as we were placing our orders, yet they wereoutstanding in completed our orders. We dined in the cafe and enjoyed our meal and was pleasantly surprised when the managercomped our meal as the power was still out. Thank you for the excellent service and delicious BBQ. I?m addition the bananapudding was the best I?ve had in years ! I?ll certainly make this a regular stop whenever I?m in the area. Read more
I was excited to try the beef dinosaur rib that two different Seguin H-E-B employees had told us about. They said it was $20 for... about 1.5 to 2.0 lbs of meat. The ad on the monitor looked great. I bought one today & took it home. I weighed it because itlooked rather small. It only weighed 14.1 ounces with the bone still in it! I love some fat, but this one had way too much fat& way too much salt! Weighed the bone by itself & it weighed 4.1 ounces. I just paid $20 for 10 ounces of highly fatty meat.Well at least my cats liked it even though one almost choked on the large amounts of fat. I called True Texas BBQ & all theysaid is we just cut & cook what they send us. They never once apologized. I cannot recommend this cut of meat at all. Inside an H-E-B so parking is horrendous. Service once you order is very fast. Nice comfortable dining room. I got the three... meat plate with coleslaw and green beans. Brisket, sausage, and pulled pork for $16 with water. Portion size of meats was goodand the sides were pretty big as well. Coleslaw was the way I like it not overly sweet. Green beans were a bit bland but hey,they are green beans after all. All three meats were good I would eat here again. Read more
