I lived in Austin, TX thirty years. Brisket is something I KNOW, and haven't had made as it should be in the sixteen years since... I left Texas. I've had terrible brisket...tough, fatty, slathered in abysmal sauce, but the delicate, smoked, fall off the boneand melt in your mouth brisket I've craved has been impossibly absent until I sat down at Double Barrel BBQ in Sedro-Woolley,WA. And if the sheer magic of this delectable and elusive meat treat wasn't enough, the PLACE and it's entire ambience feelslike I've walked into Lulling or Llano (some of you know exactly what I mean). Suddenly, I'm back. from the sides andcondiments, to the music, beer, decor and perfect smoky aroma. The only thing missing is the brutal, unrelenting sunshine ofCentral Texas. I'm really okay with our mostly grey skies and cooler temps, especially now that I have authentic Texas brisketback in my life. Called in an order for take out on a busy Saturday night and got the 2 meat combo (ribs and brisket, coleslaw and okra) and a... pulled pork sandwich. Brisket was the favorite but could've done without the extra sauce on top. Ribs were a little tough.Pulled pork was moist and well seasoned but wish it came with a side for the price. Coleslaw was crunchy and well dressed. Wishthe okra batter was seasoned. Bummed that they forgot the cornbread and the side of ranch I asked for and didn't check beforeleaving the restaurant. Visited this gem on Friday afternoon at around 1:00. Order: 1.brisket dip sandwich 2.Ribs and chicken...with... jalapeno cornbread, Sweet pea succotash and mashed potatoes. All the meat was slow smoked to perfection and buttery tender. Thesuccotash was loaded with flavor. The brisket dip was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had... Hefty amount of meat and theright amount of grilled onions. Fully loaded condement bar. Friendly staff, nice beer price...my new favorite hangout. Read more

Amazing as always! The Memphis Monster will handle any hunger. The 2 meat combo with baby backs and brisket is the best way to... try the pit masters best. The Mac and cheese is great, grilled veggies and fried okra you can't go wrong. Read more

The entire experience was far beyond our expectations! The first five words out of mywife’s mouth after taking her first bite of her Prime Rib was: “Oh my god, holy f***!” From the peanuts to the pickles,the hot peppers and the choice of BBQ sauces (all included btw) just enhanced the experience. The ribs were to die for, thepotato salad / coleslaw / succotash / house made horseradish & the Chipotle Hot BBQ were all divine. What a find!
