I'm new to Seattle, only in town for a conference and Von's was within walking distance of my hotel. Not only was the walk... wonderful, taking me past the historic market, but the food and atmosphere at Von's was great. Service was good, but given howbusy the restaurant was at the time it was completely understandable. I had the Sourdough Pasta Carbonara - it was out of thisworld. Balanced, filling, bacon cooked to perfection - this meal was well paired with a local beer (which unfortunately, I donot recall the brewery). I would gladly visit again, perhaps to try their Pizza or mixed drinks. Read more
Nothing too remarkable to share, it's a big bar with lots of drink options (as the name might suggest). Nice outdoor area. A... good spot to go on the way to the ferry terminal if you've got time to spare. Read more
Came into this beautiful establishment and was seated by Zia (Sp?), and she was very friendly and gave us a big Von's welcome... that we appreciated. We came in to visit Seattle for the first time and after not being able to check in at our hotel quite yetwe wandered into the nearby Von's for some lunch. We sat at the bar and Zach greeted us immediately and engaged us about ourtrip and gave us great conversation AND great service. Friendly welcoming people like these are the foundation to a greatrestaurant and this is indeed a great restaurant. Would recommend for anyone who needs lunch or dinner downtown and want greatfood, great drinks, and great service! Read more
Missed this place! So glad to have found them again in their new location on 1st!!! Wow! I loved them before but this....this... was something. Awesome happy hour delivered an incredibly detail oriented cocktail. I have to appreciate the craftsmanship ofthis place, food and drinks were incredible. But why the review? Dave, our server, his first night on the floor....wait, what? Either this guy is a rockstar server or a true testament to this companies training regiment. This guy was on point witheverything during the meal and had a great knowledge of the menu and was super enthusiastic about our menu choices. And he wascorrect, great meal!! Read more
Very cool pub atmosphere. Grill open later which is nice - sourdough pasta is awesome. Made with their Sourdough Pasta Engine in... house. Highly recommend if your in the area. Oh - and 1000 spirits.... ???? Read more
