I've been to The Alley plenty and typically have a great time, but the last two visits have been unpleasant. Most recently, what... started out as a positive experience - we were sat right away, and had our cocktail orders taken and delivered soon after -quickly devolved into a bad evening. After receiving our cocktails, we were left alone for nearly an hour without any check-insregarding a second cocktail or closing out the tab. Tables sat after us ordered and received second drinks. This happens at barsand usually isn’t a big deal, but after approaching the bar to request a second drink, we were cut off and told to wait forthe check. We then waited for another fifteen minutes with no update. I finally walked up to the bar to pay and apologize forany miscommunication but was met with immediate condescension from the lead bartender. He lectured me about his “power as abartender”, how having the audacity to approach the bar is the "quickest way to get cut off", and how there were still 20people ahead of us waiting to order. If there's 20 people ahead of us after waiting an hour, there are larger issues at play, but a simple "hey we're short-staffed tonight, we will get to you soon" would have been a perfectly reasonable response. Greatdrinks and a novel space, but after two avoidably negative and similar experiences, I think I’m done. Read more

My boyfriend and I dressed in 1920s garb to enjoy the jazz music on a Sunday night. It was amazing and the drinks were great!

a super hidden place for all lovers of jazz good drinks but above all a magical and mystical atmosphere that only occurs within... this place with sophisticated sandwiches exotic preparations and a wide variety of music perfect to enjoy with your partner orfriends book in advance Today, which place is very small and very difficult to access, but if you manage to be inside, you willlive one of the best musical and nightlife experiences that the city of Seattle can offer you. We cannot reveal how we foundthis place, but once you manage to arrive and enter the magic arises changes your whole night, one of my favorite places withinthe Top 10 to go out on the weekend the service is perfect they have a variety of drinks with a unique touch that give it anincomparable flavor I recommend you visit it as soon as possible that you can't miss it Read more

My husband surprised me on our anniversary by taking me to this secret, hidden speakeasy after dinner. He told me that a friend... who lives in West Seattle had left something for me there, told me to turn the knob inside the open locker... and what a fun, delightful surprise! Felt like stepping back in time. A row of romantic, candlelit tables line a brick wall, opposite the bar, attended by two dapperly-dressed bartenders. One of them greeted us, and we sat on a beautiful tufted velvet couch at the end ofthe room. Neither of us drink, but Cory took the time to sit down and talk to us about what flavors we like and made us bothcustom mocktails! I was in heaven as we sipped our drinks and enjoyed the dim lighting and soft jazz music in this classy, relaxing atmosphere. There is very minimal signage and it's tucked in the back of a row of buildings. An excellent idea if youwant to surprise and impress your date! We weren't able to stay for the live music, but we will definitely be back! Read more

Loved the vibe and drinks. I ordered a tropical mocktail, and it was delicious. The seating is a bit limited, I waited for 15-20... mins. On Sunday, there was live jazz music, which was really good. Read more
