Went here to meet a friend for lunch! It was amazing!! They have a great selection of lunch combo options while having the... regular menu. I got the lunch set for $20 with sashimi cuts & grilled salmon + corn tempura + soup + appetizer, and it feelslike a treat during the rainy days. Would come back and try dinner here. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. Thankyou for making it a great experience for me. Read more

I've tried almost all sushi places in Seattle (they all kind of suck, and overpriced) and this is the best sushi place in... Seattle. Everything is fresh and few unique rolls. The toro caviar roll was my favorite. The nigiri was super fresh - melt inyour mouth! Very reasonable prices for Seattle. Really great service as well. Definitely my new go to sushi place! Read more

Ordered lunch special, and it exceeded my expectations! Black cod was grilled with right amount of salt, individual sushi piece... was fresh, and the crispy rice roll was indeed crispy! Very neat presentation ???? Read more

Delicious. Each item served in Nagiri Set B was spot on in flavor, freshness and presentation. Authenticity was everywhere, as I... could have been on a street corner in Japan. Sushi set: Great. Grilled salmon: Perfect. Fried corn croquette with dipping sauce:Yummy. Little box of pickles topped by shaved radish: surreal. Read more

First time at this spot and we ordered several nigiri, king crab tempura, baked crab roll, and miso black cod. Overall my... favorite was the cod, I?d give it a 8/10. The baked crab roll was okay maybe a 7/10. The king crab tempura tasted like any othercrab so I?d give it a 6/10. The nigiri was nothing special maybe a 7/10. Lots of stuff on their menu so I?d give another item atry. Friendly service. Read more

I?ve tried several fancy sushi restaurants in Seattle and this is by far the best!! Really recommend to sit at the sushi... counter; I like to come here on Saturday noon and get omakase with Chef Fuji. Each nigiri piece is fresh with just the rightamount of rice. Chef Fuji made us bluefin tuna and uni nigiris which are my personal favorite. The whole meal is just absolutelyworth it and the chef himself is funny to talk with during the meal:) 10/10 recommend! Hands down some of the best sushi I have had in my life! The fish is so incredibly fresh, the rolls are innovative (try creamy... salmon!) And unlike other upscale places, you won?t pay $23 for a roll. Don?t miss tuna trio and uni ???? We were in Seattle for2 nights and we came to Katsu-ya for both dinners! It?s been a week but I keep thinking about that sushi! Thank you teamKatsu-ya Read more
