It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely... knowledgeable and make great recommendations. This place is simply great! Atmosphere is chill and cool, and making the customershappy is Samir\'s main priority! Food is excellent and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. \"Falafel and gyro are fantasticat Samir\'s\". Was really looking forward to trying this place for a quick dinner. Ordered two gyros with fries and one order of special fries.... The owner was very nice, however the indoor areas did not look well kept, and the kitchen did not look clean. The fries wereplain from a bag and didn’t even have salt. The gyro itself was okay, heavy on lettuce and tomato. Light on meat, and the meatwas not flavorful. The special fries were even more disappointing. $12 for a box of unseasoned fries with sour cream and coldgyro meat. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place, especially given the high prices. I have made Samir\'s my go to in university place. I love the Mediterranean vegetarian food, the savory flavors are... amazing.\n\nI must say that if you are not a vegetarian, and are willing to splurge a little and call ahead samir does probablythe best lamb shank I\'ve ever had, it\'s a little bit more spendy but amazingly superb, well worth the splurge.\n\nThe homemadedesert cakes are fresh and excellent. This little Hidden gem in the University District is a great place to get a great meal, loved the Gyro and fries I had. Just the... right amount of meat, lettuce, and tomato. Fries were nice and crispy. Very affordable, and Samir is a friendly and gracioushost. I will go back again when in the University District. Really close to the Light Rail Station. Give them a try, think youwill like the food and service. Read more

Samir\'s is fantastic! Not only is the food great (the gyro sandwich is my go-to) but Samir himself is so much fun and so kind!... Samir\'s has been in the U-District for over 40 years, and there\'s a reason it\'s loved by so many! Read more
