Dope sammie, dope vibes. Got the chicken pesto, little sweet maybe but super satisfying. Bread is awesome. Sandwich held... together well (could have eaten it while walking). It's weird I have to say that but a lot of good sandwich places struggle withthat. Workers seemed like they were having fun at it and with a view of Lenin's backside and a bunch of great Fremont atmospherewho can blame them? Read more

Probably the best sandwich in seattle. They take 12-15 mins to prepare which is worth it. The store also has a sign which says... they?re not jimmy johns as they make it fresh. Lol. Read more

We tried the veggie grinder - Field roast Italian sausage. Bread is really different and delicious. Nice stuffing and sauce.

This place is a shell of its former self, and I will provide context on why. Prior to COVID, I would visit this spot a few... times a month. The service was great and the price was right. I'd always get the chipotle chicken and bacon flatbread (withextra bacon and chipotle sauce)- fantastic. Then... the pandemic. Like many small businesses in the area, Royal Grinders shutdown for some time before reopening recently. I decided it was time to revisit that wonderful flatbread I had come to know andlove. It's not the same, not even close. First off, Royal Grinders has elected to stop serving Lettuce on any of theirsandwiches. No supply chain expert, but lettuce seems to be reasonably accessible within most restaurant supply chains. Thiswouldn't bother me if it had a suitable replacement such as some kind of Italian veggie / olive / oil blend, BUT, Royal Grindershas instead elected to use.... wait for it... GREEN PEPPERS. Not roasted, not pickled. Just cold green peppers. The quality ofmeat, or at least the portions you get per sandwich, has also greatly decreased. Please see attached image, ordered with extrameat. Does that look like a sandwich with extra meat (and the accompanying upcharge) to you? The bread has never been a strongpoint for Royal Grinders and I'm not going to fault them for just having decent bread, but in context of almost no meat, onions, cheese, GREEN PEPPERS, and a little squirt of chipotle sauce on 'just okay' bread... is this a sandwich you want to spend almost20$ on? Two sandwiches, chips, and a drink + tip will be running you $40... just incredibly overpriced at the current pricepoint / saturation of quality restaurants within Fremont. In addition to this, they are for 6 hours / day in one of Fremont'smost central locations, somehow closing before a massive dinner rush at 5pm. Read more

I love this place! Lovely patio, smiling friendly employees, really clean kitchen you can see, fun signs, merch that supports... the Humane Society, and really great sandwiches. It?s true, they?re not fast, but it?s fresh and these folks are hustling, thequality is much better than the places the focus on being really fast. Read more

Great customer service. The staff is warm and kind. The sandwiches are delicious and has vegan and vegetarian options. The bread... is something special with a crunchy outside and soft underneath. Helps to call ahead 10-15 mins before as the sandwiches aremade to order and take a little while in the oven. Read more
