I’d give a 4.5 star if I can! The food is okay, but the ambiance and service is amazing. The place is cozy and feels local,... and the staff members are very friendly and chatty. The food feels homey but I don’t recommend the carbonara. Read more

Love Machiavelli! It hits a perfect middle ground between home-style Italian and a more upscale spot. It truly feels like you're... walking into a little restaurant in Rome (down to the portion sizes :). The cocktails are refreshing and well mixed (strong!) Myonly wish is that their pasta was homemade, but on the other hand I'm not sure you could get the perfect al dente that they doif that was the case. By the way, make sure to get there early! We arrived 5 minutes after they opened and already there was aline, though we were sat quickly. While we were eating the restaurant went to full capacity quite quickly as well. Read more

I chose this place to try their pizza. It was a 3 star pizza, but they earned an additional star for excellent service. Caesar... salad was a little smaller than I anticipated, but the dressing was perfect and had great flavor - not too tangy and just theright amount. Here's my four point pizza review of the artichoke mushroom: Crust: 3/5 - Almost a biscuit type dough, although itdidn't crumble. It had a good flavor, but didn't hold up well to support the toppings. Sauce: 3/5 - It was there, but justdidn't bring any flavor and I couldn't taste it. Missing any sort of tomato tanginess. Toppings: 5/5 - The highlight of thepizza! Artichokes were large and flavorful, and mushrooms were fresh and tasted good. The parmesan sprinkled on at the table byrequest was a nice addition and added great flavor. Preparation: 3/5 - Partly due to the moisture from the veggies, the doughwas soft and droopy - portions had to be eaten with a fork as it couldn't be picked up. It should have been cut into less slices(6 instead of 8) which also could have helped with eating. I would visit here again, opting to try a pasta dish instead of thepizza. The service was attentive and friendly and they took good care of everyone dining. Read more

We have been here so many times and I am surprise I have never reviewed the restaurant. The food is fantastic! I love that they... have a rotating daily specials. This restaurant introduced me to fresh ground black pepper from a large wood grinder and I wasso impressed with the scent and palette of their freshly ground pepper. The veal dishes are great, below is the hand madegnocchi, and eggplants parmesan. Not to over generalize, but all the foods are great and you really can't go wrong in selection. Read more

Amazing food in a cozy spot! It’s a pretty small dining room but the food was worth squishing in a corner. On a Friday night... around 6:30, we waited about a half hr for a table. (The restaurant does not take reservations.) House wine was $6 and a greatmatch for our food. My partner got the lasagna and I got the scallop linguini special. Both were phenomenal!! I’ll definitelybe back. Read more

I'll start with the obvious, a landmark establishment from before Amazon (BA). They know how to keep a simple menu interesting... and fresh without overwhelming the senses. About 20 tables, no reservations so best to expect a wait. But usually not too long. This is not a dine and linger establishment. They price based on turnover. So temper expectations in that regard. They won'trush but do expect you to order, eat and be gone. Small bar area serves food and drinks for dining room with a single bartender so that can also backup. Still, with all that I gave an easy 5 stars for the honesty, and simplicity. But im guessingnot so many locals anymore. Read more

Giant family vibes from this cozy place on the hill. The food was delicious; however, like any restaurant there are always... things that can go wrong or be improved. Case in point, long wait times and sometimes feeling like you’ve been over looked andforgotten. Food 5/5, service 3/5, value 4/5, overall 4/5 Read more

the coziest Italian place on the hill. Pretty casual family vibes restaurant. Great prices. There’s usually a little wait as... the dining room is small, but they have the cutest bar where you can get a drink until your party is called. The nicest peoplework here. Favorite menu items are the carbonara and the gnocchi. Read more
