The name Pagliacci has been a Seattle staple for many years. It's been two decades since I had fond memories of eating at the... old Queen Anne / Mercer location, so I decided to stop at this one for a quick bite while walking by. The concept is nice -quick service slices of your choosing, but it just wasn't as good as my memories (is anything these days, really?) Crust: 4/5 -Good thickness, nice texture from the crunchy outside when reheated in the toaster, chewy on the inside. Definitely would bebetter if fresh from the oven. Sauce: 2/5 - The veggie slice didn't have any sauce which made it quite dry. Tomato sauce on thecheese slice had some herb flavor, but just didn't impress. Toppings: 4/5 - Onions and mushrooms had good flavor, but could haveused more of them. Cheese slice could have used more cheese, and cheese didn't have any major flavor to it. Preparation: 4/5 -Crust was nicely uniform, cooked well, and veggies were distributed evenly. Reheating previously cooked pizza in a toaster ovenis certainly fast, but results in slices lacking overall moisture. It was only ~$12 for two slices and a bottled water, so thevalue is there as a step up from cooking your own frozen pizza. Read more

Gotta love the crisp undercarriage. Small quibble - the sauce is quite subtle. I would prefer a more robust sauce, perhaps more... of the current sauce even. Barring that, it?s great. Looking forward to being a regular. Read more
