This place was great. Burgers and milkshakes. Portions were huge. They also have a full bar.

Significantly overpriced for what you get. On top of that, they very visibly whine about minimum wage laws on the fine print of... their menu, adding a separate surcharge to pass it on to you as conspicuously as possible. I'd find somewhere else if I wereyou. Read more

Great service and delicious drinks! Would highly recommend if you're in the area looking for something different. The poutine... and variety of fries were great! Read more

Undercooked salmon that I couldn't dare to eat. Overall relatively flavorless food. Understaffed on a Friday night. Only thing... earning it a 3 star was an outstanding bartender who seemed to recognize the reality of the situation and tried to make it thebest he could. Read more

I came at 7:15. They had zero customers as they opened at 7. I ordered a coffee and did not receive even a spoon, and the seat... had salt or sugar left on it from the night before as I was in a dress, and it got on my skin. Then I ordered a simplebreakfast, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. The one potato bite I took was very plain. Then the eggs I asked for over medium cameout well done and greasy, so I tried a tiny bit of sausage. It was hard and still cold. I left without eating and sent itback—a horrible experience. I have been riding by THE OUTLIER for years now. I have always been curious about it and that curiosity grew even more when they... opened a patio. You see, its not often when a hotel invest in their lobby bars. The Outlier is part of The Monaco Hotel on 4thstreet in downtown Seattle. The fact that they have invested in a redesign shows that they are committed to making a statementwith this restaurant. Now WHAT that statement is, THATS a mixed bag. I guess youd call it “Industrial” I guess. While Iappreciated the open spaces and soaring ceilings, I was a little confused by their use of fencing to close off certain areas.Keeping that in mind, it worked well with the color schemes. But again FENCING. It made me think of that bar from THE BLUESBROTHERS movie where the stage was surrounded by chicken wire to prevent the band from catching flying bottles to the face. Theservice was good enough to take my mind off of that and the food was just as good. I enjoyed a salmon BLT with truffle fries. Iwanted to try the fried ribs but they were all out of those. The weather prevented us from enjoying the patio but, I will begoing back. The martini I had was very good but of course I cant recall the name right now. All in all, I would recommend TheOutlier as a very enjoyable hotel bar with lots of room and wonderful food and martinis. Just if you go, let me know what youthought about the fencing. Read more

We were staying at the Hotel Monaco so it was natural to have a quick breakfast at the hotel restaurant before leaving. We had... the Country Egg Benedict and the Crab and Avocado Toast. The setting was very nice, kind of an industrial modern decor. Theservice was excellent, the server being very attentive and was easy to interact with. We were there early on a Saturday and thatalong with the virus scare means we had the place to ourselves. Both dishes tasted excellent. I wasn't sure I would like theBenedict with a biscuit instead of an english muffin but the texture of their homemade biscuits turned out to be a delightfulchange. The dry cured ham, with its saltiness really added to the dish as well. I enjoyed the side potatoes too. The crab andavocado toast was excellent, with the toast soaking up the perfectly cooked poached egg yolk. This mixed with the sweetness ofthe crab and creaminess of the avocado were a perfect combination. We would definitely eat here again, possibly to try theirlunch or dinner offerings. Read more

Nice atmosphere. A fun place to eat and drink. The service was outstanding, and the food was good and creatively prepared.... Drinks were delicious. My only criticism is that the food service was not well paced and a bit random. My salad showed up aftermy entree. Read more
