Reviews for New Leaf Bistro in Seattle, WA
Place is truly bad!! I order brown rice. Every time. Never get it!!! They don’t have brown rice. And their combination... fried rice rarely has all they say will be in it. They send whatever they want and there is no pork chicken beef to be found. The food tastes good. You just get whatever they send. Not what you order This is their BROWN rice Read more
Peanut sauce and pho broth were tasty but appetite was ruined by shrimp rolls which had shrimp with intact poop veins. A couple... rotten pieces of bean sprout as well. Please take the time for some quality control. Meat portions are a little small as well Read more
It was okay. Fresh spring rolls were super tasty, chow mein was okay, cumin beef was not good. Staff was very friendly and... helpful. Read more
Second time coming here and we absolutely love it! Super calm vibes and friendly service. There is a bit of a wait but the food... is worth it !! We have tried some appetizers like the wings and tofu as well as their pho, fire cracker chicken, and chickenchow mein. Overall would recommend! Read more
I love that they have specialty Vietnamese dishes here (bunh bo hue, banh Hoi, banh canh) that you usually can't get unless... you're in the ID but my favorite dish that they serve here is their mango salad. Perfectly seasoned with sweat chili fish saucedressing and tossed with shrimp. I can eat this everyday and be perfectly happy. Next time you're there, get some. You'll thankme later. Read more
Seriously the best deal in West Seattle - bahn mi with sweet potato fries and a Thai iced tea for $10. Pho is excellent, great... pot stickers and fresh rolls. Cant go wrong with anything on the menu, service is great too! Read more
Decent Vietnamese Food in Admiral There aren't a lot of Asian restaurants in West Seattle, so support the ones that exist if... you want to keep them. New Leaf is clean, the food is good, and the servers are friendly. There's not much else you can askfor. The Pho is balanced fairly well and satisfies your cold weather soup craving. It's not the best pho I've ever had (andcould stand to be served a bit hotter), but it's better than Pho Than Brothers, down the street. It's perfectly serviceable andprobably the best you're going to find without going to Little Saigon or White Center. The "egg rolls" (crispy spring rolls)are extremely delicious; perfectly fried to an ideal crispiness in clean oil and served with Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce. TheMango "Bubble Tea" ($3.50) is decent. They could stand to use more milk; I'm also not convinced there's any "tea" -- more justmango powder, ice, and milk. It's more of a smoothie than a milkshake. Oasis in Chinatown makes better smoothies and tea drinks, but this satisfies your sweet tooth on a budget. West Seattle Residents: please give this place a shot and try somethingdifferent, for once. People coming into a Vietnamese restaurant for 'Chow Mein and Egg Rolls' and other obviouslyChinese-American dishes is strange and depressing. Each Asian country has their own cuisine. Don't be afraid to step outside ofyour comfort zone. At the very least, try a BBQ Pork Bánh Mì (which is a delicious sandwich with sugar-glaze roasted pork, mayonnaise, pickles, and cilantro, all on a crispy baguette). We'll be back to try it ourselves, some day. Read more
Not authenic at all. I ordered the bun boa hue and it doesn't have all the fixings like it should have. The broth is from the... same pho broth which bun boa hue uses a totally different broth. Read more
