Stopped in a random afternoon and they were playing early/mid 2000?s underground hip hop, Atmosphere, J5, Brother Ali, Dilated... Peoples, and of course Blue Scholars. Lock & Keel is an actual bar with actual bartenders that's actually open during hours bars are usually open - until 2AM. The... bartenders are friendly and professional. No one will make you feel bad for coming in at 12:30 AM and expecting service. ForBallard, this is somewhat of a miracle. Read more
My friends and I (who were in boots coming from a country concert) got kicked out and refused service for no reason. I live next door to the bar and my toy friend and I stop in every couple of weeks to have a drink. Today dec 24th is my... partners birthday and we went to loc and keel for a drink. The door was open and there were people actively drink nd thebartender was serving drinks as Jen I sled te. At tender for a drink he sakes they were closed and add me leave. I was in downtown Ballard and googled "pool tables" and this spot showed up. Loved this place, they have pool tables, arcade... games, art on the walls. It is the perfect dive bar. Bartenders are always smiling and the patrons were friendly folk.Definitely coming back again. Read more
