Finding a coffee shop where the baristas are enthusiastic about the fundamentals (espresso and coffee) is rare. Finding a coffee... shop where the barista is knowledgeable on those same fundamentals, doubly so. Shoutout to Fern and Torin! These gals radiate somuch genuine joy/positive energy to my day and I?m sure many others feel the same- you rock! Among the many local roasters,Local Coffee Spot in Belltown stands almost alone! On top of the impeccable service- They managed to to incorporate a grungeaesthetic with open spaces and random plants everywhere. The point is, the atmosphere is fresh yet unconventional, I?m at peaceevery time I visit. The coffee is also very good. I recommend the Brown sugar cinnamon latte. The line was pretty long for mediocre (almost undrinkable) coffee. I got the vanilla sweet cream cold brew, expecting it to be... sweet and taste like cold brew, but it was neither. It was bitter and watery and not even sweet. I would much rather spend thesame amount at a Starbucks to get a much better drink. Cute seating out front though. Read more
