I am finally back from France!!! and first thing is: to get me a gyro at Hummus Cafe and say Hi to Nany and her husband... Jamy!!!! The food here is simple, fresh. Try the Kushari, chicken and falafel. This is where I meet my friends from differentparts of the world and where I feel at home. The owners are appreciated throughout the Greenwood international community ofbusiness owners and patrons so the feeling of community is real. Bon appetit! Read more
Extremely rude owner who apparently hates children. She was clearly unhappy when we decided to dine in and warned us that kids... are not allowed on the bench, then several times told our little one to sit down (!). We were not satisfied with the foodeither, the Egyptian koshary did not resemble the original at all. When we told the owner that we honestly had a better meal inEgypt, she angrily told us to bring her our own koshary. Terrible experience and no wonder the place was totally empty. Read more
I drive by this place all the time yo and from work and always wonder about this place ,I like, gryos and gave it a try. I got... a beef gyro on a plate and I got a beef gyro traditional style, this was really good and they are super friendly, I would backagain. I do have only one thing fries that come with a burger and hotdogs are long gyro fries in my humble opinion should beshort maybe 2 inches and sprinkle with their seasons, why? Cannot say enough about how amazing their falafels are - LOOK at those beautiful colors! To be fair, it all smelled too good to... wait to take a pic, so this is already half-eaten. Came here randomly for lunch and it was great! Probably the cleanest kitchen area I have seen, which is always a good sign. The... gyro sandwich with lamb meat was amazing. The pita was super soft and probably new favorite place for a gyro. The homemadehummus was also delicious and a must try! I love supporting mom and pop shops like this, especially during COVID, and Willdefinitely be going back for more! Read more
I love their food so much! I've had the falafel a couple of times. Last night was the first time we had the kushari and it won't... be the last. My son never eats leftovers but he beat me to these cause they were so good. The portions are generous, hence theleftovers. Everything tastes fresh and authentic.
