I drove by this place many times and always saw the line. Today my husband and I decided to try it out. I bought all three meat... tamales and they were 6.50 each. It was hot and smell so good. They also gave sour cream, pickled carrots, and a green hotsauce (not sure what the name is). My husband likes the pork, I like the chicken the most, chorizo and cheese is my leastfavorite but it is still tasty. We will be back again and try the sweet tamales. Read more

I heard about this place from someone that lives nearby. Each visit to Seattle I enjoy trying new food places. Tamales just... happen to be my very favourite Mexican fare so I had to give Freland Tamales a try. The tamale I purchased today was incredible.I don?t think I?ve ever had something as authentic as this tamale. The presentation stunning as the handmade effort is notablein a corn husk wrapped tamale with a beautiful red tie. The pickled vegetables are reminiscent of a Mexican restaurant I like inLas Vegas called Tacos Mexico. Taste of everything was delicious! Well worth a visit for exquisite Mexican cuisine at a low lowprice of seven bucks. Walk up order window. I believe you can also order ahead and pick up. The staff very friendly andcourteous. Not that it matters in the purchase however I read ahead of my visit the owners are deeply involved in the communityand quite charitable. Read more

Authentic tamales, you can see them being made fresh when you order. I had the chorizo and the pork tamale, and i liked the pork... tamale more. I think the chorizo tamale could use some more spices, but that being said they are very good. The cornmealsurrounding the filling is delicious. The tamales are also large, they are 1/2 pound so 2 was the most i could eat for lunch. Ifyou are looking for tamales these definitely hit the spot Read more

Best tamales I've ever had. They are pretty huge, and stuffed with amazing fillings and love. Got a whole spread of flavors to... try and they were all so good I can't really choose a favorite, but the jalapeño cheese, spicy shredded pork and spinach aredefinitely up there. They also have some vegan options and sweet dessert ones (sweet ones sold frozen only, so you have to makethem at home). Also have an amazing beans rice and tamale lunch combo? Great great greaaat spot :) Read more

I am not a big fan of tamales in general, but these are good. (I tried two vegan options.) They're also big, and well worth the... $5 price. Good ingredients. Cool crew running the place too. If you like tamales, there's no reason not to come here. Read more

Quick and easy walk up ordering. Tamales came out steaming hot! Favorite is the salsa roja pork. I thought the chicken was too... bland. Chorizo and cheese was good, but the flavor profile felt very one dimensional. The masa was very soft unlike other onesI've had that were too dry/hard. Would definitely come back to try their vegetarian/vegan options! Read more

Awesome Tamales! The nearly 100% 5 star reviews are justified! I grew up in AZ, CA eating amazing tamales and these are right. I... was a little concerned about 5 dollars a pop for tamales but they are huge and filled with filling. Absolutely worth 5 buckseach. The cut up tamale in the picture is just 1 of them! Read more
