Little mom and pop store that has lots of European food items on sale, predominantly eastern European. They sell great... central/eastern European style (i.e. dense) freshly final-baked bread - love their dark rye. Read more

Excellent selection for such a small shop. They have Napolitanke for $4 a box, and halva by the pound. Not the highest quality,... but well worth the price. Very affordable here. A lot of things have English labels with the ingredients, but not all. Read more

I was using it for three years simply because of having no other choice proximity wise. And in that time the prices were... climbing up and up and up and up and up...Their greed is indefinite. Some stuff costs up to almost twice if compared. LuckilyI've left that area. Read more

One of the best borscht soups I ever had. I always get some for home. For the price you simply cannot get anything in stores... that comes even close to the homemade style meals they offer. Read more

Non-pretentious and non-kitschy, European Foods just north on Aurora is a one stop deli and convenient Eastern European market.... It's where a person like myself who's never traveled to Eastern Europe can feel like a tourist within Seattle while supportinglocal. Imported meats, pasta, spices, cooking sauces, ice cream treats and a wide selection of chocolate items line the shelvesof this quaint space. Hearing that custom sandwiches ($5.99) are made to order, we ordered a bologna and also a deli ham, madeof regular wheat bread, deli meat, sliced white cheese (couldn't tell if it was mozzarella or provolone?) tomato, and one had avery hearty dark lettuce. It was fun taking a dive into their bulk bins for some imported chocolate and I look forward to tryingall of them over time and finding some favorites. Read more

I have been meaning to go to European Foods for some time and finally did. They are partially a grocery store and restaurant. I... had originally wanted to visit the restaurant portion but the lights were off and no one was there eating. Nevertheless, Iwandered around the store to look at what was for sale. They have a nice assortment of desserts, cured meats, cookies, sauces, etc. I was looking for frozen pelmeni and they had a few of the major brands - all good choices. I ended up buying a slice ofthe honey cake. Whenever I have honey cake, I always find myself disappointed, however, the honey cake from European Foods waspretty good. It wasn't too sweet and the cake had a complex flavor. I look forward to returning and possibly eating in therestaurant. Read more
