The environment is neat! The food fell off for US. Mac-n-cheese was spicy - like tabasco was added to the cheese sauce. The... romaine salad was odd tasting. And the Camp West burger....so sad! Cold, stale bun....we asked for rare. It was completelyovercooked, which is easy to do on a thin patty (def looked like one of them frozen ones).\nGoodness, we were looking forward toa new haunt in town, but sadly disappointed in everything we ordered....even the ranch for the tots didn’t impress.\nOh well,we wish y’all the best of luck! One of the most unique themed bars I have been to! Nothing beats toasting marshmallows over an open flame at your table over... some delicious cocktails. We were seated immediately on a Friday night and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Wonderfuladdition to the west Seattle food/bar scene ????? Read more

I have never been to Tacoma\'s Camp Bar, which is the older sibling of Camp West, so I did not know what to expect. When you... walk in, you are greeted with camp chairs, antlers on the wall, and even a figure reclining in a hammock! The camp theme is morecabin retreat in Leavenworth rather than REI high-performance gear in the Enchantments! Though, some might find the camp-themeddecor and accoutrement...ahem...campy, I actually found it quite charming and creative. For example, our charcuterie plattercame in a Plano tackle box (the refreshingly herby capocollo or \"gabagool\" was my favorite) and our table water came in astylish Stanley thermos. For an opening cocktail, I ordered the One-eyed Squirrel...gin with a splash of both lime and cucumberaccompanied by an eyeball garnish! I appreciated its simplicity and refreshing flavors, and I kept the eye! I then ordered thegluten-free crunchy chicken sandwich with gluten-free bun. The oversized chicken crunches loudly in your mouth and then quicklymelts into an incredible umami blend. I bet even people who can properly digest gluten will enjoy this sandwich! It paired wellwith the tater tots and house-made dill-infused ranch dressing, creating a complimentary crunch-earthy combo. My dinnercompanion had the steelhead, and I almost but not quite regretted my choice because the fish was prepared so well! Juicy andmoist that also went well with the fingerling potatoes. For those who have mourned the loss of West 5, worry not! This is aworthy successor managed by an old-school West Seattle restauranteur, well on its way to becoming a Junction mainstay. Read more
