We have been coming to Bongos since they opened. We moved across the country a few years ago and a week does not go by that we... don?t mention how much we wish we could eat at Bongos. During our recent visit to Seattle we ate here several times and it?sstill absolutely delicious. They have made some lovely improvements to the place as well. The bathrooms look great now, the newpicnic tables are awesome, and the overall decor is fabulous now. Everything we had was just as perfect as we remember, plusthe service was awesome as usual. Absolute bliss in the midst of its environment! As a Jamaican, this definitely takes my soul home! The Jerked chicken isn?t... quite like ours, but it?s flavorful and great for what it is! I?ve ate at Bongos for many years! Since they have opened they have expanded into even a better place to grab excellent... sandwiches and yuca fries! The plates are amazing too! I?ve tried most of their menu and nothing disappoints. Their outdoor areais great with a lot of seating. They even have an outdoor fire pit to sit around to stay warm on the chilly nights. Sand allaround the table and chairs, it?s super cute! Dog friendly too. The staff are always super nice too. It?s usually busy but theyare quick to serve you. Great spot and don?t let the place fool you even though it?s off aurora. Check it out! Read more

I?ve been waiting to try this paraíso caribeño across from Green Lake for awhile. It did not disappoint! We arrived and it... had quite a few patrons happily enjoying the wonderful food and drink. We were treated well by the gal at the counter and sheanswered all our questions and requests. Too bad the slaw has diary in it but it did not mess with the taste very much having itremoved. The Desi sandwich is the most popular and I understand why after eating it!! The yuccas weren?t greasy and the aioliwas fresh. The maduros weren?t overly fried either. Filling and delicious! Stopped in for a quick sandwich takeout. Service was quick and the food was delicious. We each had a Desi over by Green Lake.... The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that the bread on the sandwich got so soggy within the 15 minutes wetravelled to the lake that you couldn't pick it up to eat. I had to use a fork. If we had eaten in, it may have beendifferent. Will definitely go back to try other dishes. Recommend! Read more
