My experience at Bang Bang Kitchen left me wondering a few things: first, is this Mexican food? And two, was it worth it? I... live in the area and pass this establishment several times a day and my husband and I have been curious about it for a while. So, one day when I got off work early, we decided to try it out. Atmosphere was interesting, tables were decent, all the chairsmatched, and there was a neat looking fake fireplace. However, if you told me this was supposed to be a Mexican restaurant Iwould be shocked. Since we went during happy hour we decided to try one of their small bites, we got the shishito peppers. Theywere really good, spicy and the crunch element was nice as well. However, shishito peppers paired with hummus don't screamMexican cuisine to me. When it came to the entrees, I ordered the huevos rancheros and my husband ordered the enchiladas. Bothfeatured a strange, dark, thick sauce that appeared burnt or forgotten at the bottom of a jar. Needless to say, it wasunpleasant. Food was ok, desperately needed salt. Also, the food sas not hot, maybe lukewarm/tepid, and despite our waiterwarning me about the top plate being hot, I had nothing to fear. My husband's enchiladas also came with a side of beans andrice. Both of which were bland, I would not be surprised if Uncle Ben had a hand in that side dish. Also the beans were whole, not refried which I guess is a "healthy" take on the dish, but most of the menu contains cheese so what's the message? Is itMexican? Is it fusion? And if so, fusion of what? Confusion. We both agreed to never venture back. Read more

Great Mexican food and cocktails. Stick with the margaritas or go for the Mezcal, they have a great assortment. I enjoyed some... nachos and in the past I've enjoyed their chicken???? They have great service and it's a nice place to take the family. BangBang also has delicious traditional Mexican dishes as well as some original takes on classics. Give it a try you won't bedisappointed. Read more

Great atmosphere. The red chile sauce was good, the green was a little bland. Honestly might have just been mine. The rice was a... little dry, but I didn't go for the rice. I got Xmas enchiladas. Which, see above comments. We brought in a pretty large groupover 6, and the server was a bit overwhelmed. Don't worry we staggered our orders. The bartender jumped in to help out. Theywere amazing. It was a great dinner in all. Happy to have a place with the NM idea. Now to get Negra modelo or Victoria, itwould have been a little better. Read more

First time getting food from Bang Bang and we got their SRW special, the wings, and the vegan Mac and cheese. We got it all for... takeout. So cannot speak to their full Covid precautions, but they did have outdoor dining and all the staff I could see werewearing masks; indoor seating was not permitted due to gov?t mandate. We were very happy with all the food. My wife reallyenjoyed the taquito that was the first dish of the SRW meal, they had a good crunch, good flavor and the sauce abs beans werevery flavorful. The vegan Mac and cheese was excellent and honestly hard to believe it was vegan and not using real cheese. Thewings were also good, I will say the sweet wings were actually better than the spicy. Also, by the time we got it home they werenot super hot and crispy anymore. The duck leg main from the SRW deal was also very good as was the sauce. We were not totallyable to see the Brussels sprouts as part of that dish, but it was still very good. Lastly, the avocado ice cream was goodtoo. Would consider going back to this place and trying other parts of their menu. Read more

One of the best new spots in south Seattle. The food is amazing and the service is top notch. They might start doing brunch... which will be a good weekend treat. Their blood Maria and micheleda are incredible too. Definitely worth checking out. Read more
