**Food Only Review** Great service, awesome atmosphere, friendly faces, average food. We had a dinner and got the beef garlic... sausage plate and the käsespätzle with bacon (Mac and cheese). We found the food to be well made, but lacking flavor, particularly salt. We felt the portions were not so great and left feeling hungry shortly after. There were only a couple ofolder people there on a Friday night at 8pm. I can’t help but feel it was a missed opportunity to try some of the otheramazing restaurants within earshot. Maybe lunch is where this place thrives? Read more

Great beer hall for both food and drink. The menu is great and offers lot of delicious German food, and there's a large beer... selection which you can also get served in Steins. Read more

We were excited to try the beers, they didn’t disappoint and that’s why I’ve given the two star rating. The pretzel was... warm and would order again. The schnitzel was not good, the batter was falling apart, pork had no flavour, the fries were verysalty and we didn’t attempt the strips of dry cabbage. Service was really poor, they were run off their feet. We tried to getthe attention of the waiter 4 times for the check, what if we had wanted another drink. Audio was really annoying, the musicwas either thumping away or really tinny. Would not return unless maybe for a beer. Read more

Good German beer selection and I liked the traditional open table setting but this is not quality German food nor service. Our... schnitzel was well undercooked and both the potato salad and sauerkraut sides were standard at best. They did comp the entreedue to the meat being undercooked but then made a point to speak to us only in German when they brought the check over. In apassive aggressive tone, our server stated that they know how to cook their food because they do it everyday and that it was notundercooked. Raw pork is quite easy to identify whether you speak German or not. Why comp the plate then? Luckily we understoodsome of what the server was saying but I assume most visitors may not. Overall, I would have skipped leaving a poor review butbecause the server had to make an attempt to put us in our place… I guess it’s only fair for me to do my part and hopefullyhelp someone else before they experience the same thing. The board appetizer was pretty, but not super tasty. My friends got the pretzels which looked better! The restaurant is roomy,... great for big groups. Read more

The atmosphere is pretty close to a gut bier Halle. Beer was definitely American, but at least they have the half liter steins.... And the food is probably the best schnitzel you can get this side of the Columbia (or at least between the Duwamish and theSnoqualmie). Adding the curry flavor to the ketchup was the cherry on top of a good Deutsch experience. Read more

Top-notch german beer hall in Pioneer Square. Terrific selection of draft biers and canned or bottled as well. Currywurst,... pommes frites, and duck-fat sauerkraut will set you right. A few .5 liter Kolsch biers will get you ready for your next move.Oh, it's time to leave for the Sounder's match... Gute Nacht!! Read more
